Tonights show was not too bad. Two people chipped in for birdie and one made a nice long birdie putt. All I can say is that I hope Nikki goes home soon. I'm not of fan of talking crap when your game doesn't match your mouth.

I completely agree. If she put as much effort into her game as she did preening around, crouching down to green-level to read putts, and scowling -- she might actually be decent. But as it stands, she's definitely the chop of the bunch.

I can't wait for her to get kicked off. Yeah her game isn't good but just listening to her and how she over exaggerates everthing...I mean EVERYTHING. Oh and I was dying on the floor cracking up watching Becky laugh at Nikki about finding her new personal inner moment, I really like Becky.

If any of that stuff worked, shouldn't you be able to hit a fairway?

No. For that, you need a golf swing.

The instant SignBoy (whom I hate, by the way. But that is another story) was pairing up the roommates I knew that it was going to be Becky and Nikki. I guess they figure that makes for the best reality TV.

But Nikki will be gone soon, as she is clearly the weakest. I was a bit surprised Kimberly (I think) hit her 2nd shot so poorly it only went 15 yards or so. But I think she has a better chance of bouncing back then the narcissistic Zen master prima donna.

What are Nikki's next excuses going to be? So far it has been, "I've never played this hole before" (no one else has, and I don't see how unfamiliarity with a course makes shots slice) and "I haven't gotten any breaks" (breaks are lucky bounces, not divine intervention making your bad shot go straight).

No doubt, Nikki will be leaving soon. I thought it was pretty funny how every other competitor was ragging on her.

I thought that some of the prizes and competitions seemed a little more thought out and spiced up this season.

And what was up with all the chip-ins? It made for some good television I thought.

Yeah nice they give the winner the exemption plus the tools, resources, etc to actually make something of themselves with the exemption.

I couldn't believe how much they're giving away. Compared to how much some of these girls made on the Futures tour last year, it's going to be a big pay day.

I just watched my first episode of BBV. I'm not sure which episode it was, but they had 5 1 hole eliminations. Here are my observations:

Nicolle is ridiculous!!! One of the other girls made the remark that, "it seems like she was more focused on being the supermodel who golfs than the good looking golfer." This girl doesn't belong in this group of women who all seem to be players. Her opponent put the ball smack dab in the middle or the fairway, so she decides she needs to "take the super-super-aggresive line" and pushes into the treessss. Bahhh I can't stand that. And what was that mumbo-jumbo about "touching something deep within herself that she's never touched before?" Ah well, she won't be around long.

The Swede, I think her name is Kristina, I think she can play pretty well, and she's one of the best looking. Nice wide, powerful swing. Stands out because she's attractive.

The others seem like players, but I can hardly remember their names.

Looks like BBV will be much more entertaining than BBIV!

By the way: SignBoy is awesome. I can't get enough of that big goofy flapjack.

Ah, Nikki's new excuse: Having to go first (but she was in the first group and didn't really go first). And it looks like next week the excuse will be injury. I too like how she says she was taking the extremely aggressive line. That was just her excuse for going into the trees and is the equivalent of calling the shot after she hits it. She is the Omarosa of golf.

I actually don't mind the FootJoy commercials with Sign Boy, although he is definitly annoying there. I really can't stand him on other things on The Golf Channel; I think it is with Peter Jacobsen. In that he is annoying and not funny at all (as opposed to being somewhat annoyingly funny in the commercials).

Decided to look up the spelling of, 'Omarosa' and came upon her site. For a laugh as someone even worse than Nikki check it out - omarosa.com

What are Nikki's next excuses going to be?

"Ouch, my shoulder hurts!"

Who has ever really hurt their shoulder playing golf? Lower back, sure. Elbow, wrist, even knees or hips, sure. But shoulder? Really?

I can't wait to see the expression on Nikki's face when she gets eliminated. My $ is on Jeanne to win it too.

I like the girl who looks like Tiger to win it all.... because she looks like Tiger!

OH, and her swing ain't bad either. I just hope Katie and Kristina (the Swedish one) stick around awhile. They're the cuties.

I loved how when Nikki was talking about Divina's birdie putt, she said something to the effect of, "I knew it was going in, because she's got good karma."

I'm thinking it's probably more to do with a solid stroke. Something with which Nikki is unfamiliar...

    • I tried hybrids way back when TaylorMade introduced the copper orange Firesole Rescue, the clubhead having been made of titanium which was still relatively new even in drivers back then. I couldn't hit it well at all, and while the success of hybrids suggests that the modern ones must be quite good,  I'm perfectly happy with the 5, 7, and 9-woods.  Early ones of mine were Top Flite Intimidator 400s made by Spalding... and also made of titanium, now that I think of it.  I still have them in my basement. I do bag a driving iron, but it's a one-trick-pony that never sees fairway use.
    • The last time I played Maxfli balls, Dunlop was still making them. How long ago was that? Mostly, though, I used to play Top Flites (original 336 dimple model) when Spalding was still making them. Now I play the Pro V1x. Last time that I ordered some, Titleist was still making them. Let's see how long that lasts.
    • Once, on a course in Middleton, Massachusetts that I used to love but has since closed down,  I hit the wrong half of a huge, UK style double green.  Then I made the hundred foot putt.  Tough to  forget that one.
    • No. But if I can still play next year, I'll almost certainly be even worse. That's the reality of not being young.🙁
    • I use GPS;  it may not be as accurate, but neither am I.
