You DO have room for improvement with those clubs. You're not gonna go from a 36 hdcp. to a scratch golfer with those, but they will help you out a lot.

And that seller is good, I buy a ton of stuff from rockbottom.

I'm not really a 36hdcp, although I'll probably still end up getting these clubs. I just don't want to hear a bunch of crap from people about these being seniors clubs.

You won't be sorry when you're kicking their sorry a$$e$ when they are trying to use Tour Blades! :P

If you really don't like them..clean em up and sell em on ebay. :P I'm sure you'll be fine with them. And I wasn't necessarily calling YOU a 36 hdcp., it's just the first number that popped in my head.

The Tight Lies are a great starter set, especially if you are on a budget. I was considering purchasing them, but instead I got the Cobra FP's which were a lot more money with all of my additions. Honestly, the only piece of equipment that you should be concerned about purchasing is a putter. I have used $30 putters that are great and $300 putters that feel terrible, so finding a comfortable putter will help with your feel and confidence on the green. If you have a good swing you will hit any clubs just fine, so don't think that by purchasing this set you will won't be improving, because you will. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM me, and I can even give you ideas if you choose to part away from the Tight Lies set.

I agree with the Adams IDEA a2's, you get the hybrid 3&4 then the irons. They are a better set than the tight lies, that is their cheapest set I think. The Adams idea a1 or a2's are pretty common on ebay used, I was looking for a set for my friend who needs a set. You can get a set for under $150 w/shipping easily.

IMO I would say good 3 wood, set of irons, sandwedge, putter.

As for what? It just depends on your swing, ball flight, and opinion. First don't by anything on name. Buy based on confidence and what you think looks appealing at address. If you don't like looking at them, you will never enjoy hitting them. Second, how do they feel when you hit them? Same principle as above. Third, do they fit your budget. In today's world that is a necessary evil.

Take your time and get the opinion of the professionals. (IE Pro's not the guy who is trying to make an extra spiff off of you at the large chain store.)

But that is just MHO
