I'd recommend the Maui Jim Sport series.

http://www.mauijim.com/webapp/wcs/st...0105_N_2_2_2_N

They are polarized and very, very light. I just bought a new pair over the weekend and paid 159.00. I believe they carry a lifetime warranty, as well.

I just ordered a pair of Tifosi Peaks from rockbottomgolf.com. Will post with results.

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

I bought Oakley Flak Jackets a couple of months ago and love them. Gold irridium lenses, so they are darker, but that works for where I live. If it doesn't, I can always buy a different set of lenses.

i wear my polarized arnettes everywhere and on the course, i dont have any problems.

the only suggestion i have is that you definately spend the couple extra $$'s and get a "polarized" lens. its seriously the difference between night and day and blocks the hell out of the sun allowing you to, like the others said, "keep your eyes wide open during the brightest of days".

arnette rage "polarized" this looks like a great deal, since i paid $110 in 2002 for mine

"im sorry, i cant hear you over the sound of how right i am."

I lose track of the ball in flight (or sometimes never see it to begin with) a lot when I play. I'm usually wearing clear glasses, sometimes contact lenses. For everyone who wears sunglasses to play, do you think they make it easier to spot the ball after looking up, keep track of it the whole flight? Anything that would help me do a better job of that would make my golf game a lot less frustrating.

Im kind of a sunglass freak, Ive got a drawer full of them, but I wear Dragon Reverbs the most. I switched to a polarized lens over 10 years ago and will never go back. I can see how they mess with your depth of perception though, I just cant see with out them.

I wear some Arnette wrap arounds that do ok, I really prefer to golf without them though.

I'll second the Maui Jim's. I have the Ka'anapali's and they are perfect. So lightweight you'll forget you are wewaring them. Unfortunately you'll have to spend another $50 because they run about $225. Of course, that was four years ago so maybe the price has gone down.

How about prescription.

Try Optix Stick On Bifocals. They work w/any glasses & work well. I've used them on cheap beach sunglasses for years. Don't have to worry about dropping my Oaks in the sand.

Peakvision DG9's.

They completely rock. Light, comfortable, good sun protection, and seems to help read the greens.

    • Day 87 (27 Jul 25) - Made it an easy session with the wedge this afternoon, worked on staying in the shot and not lifting out - split between low spinners and higher floaters.
    • Shot my new low 72 (par 70) today. Had 5 birdies, also a new best, which included a hole out from the bunker on par 3 6th, and another hole out pitch from 15ish yards on the long par 4, 15th.  Got a couple of other good breaks. Except for an OB drive on 14th (and ensuing double bogey), not much went wrong. All in all I might have used up a year's worth of luck in a single day.
    • Back in the saddle after vacation.  Day 1: played 18. Did not have it, but still battled to an 82. Felt closer to a 90, but that’s fine.
    • Yes, I have seen this from the older crowd that play the 4,700 yard tees and want to know why they get less strokes from there. Always trying to game the system 🤣
    • Day 300 - 2025-07-27 Good 44-ball segment. GSPro was acting goofy, so I just put it on the Quad. Then I hit a bunch of low spinners. Hit 14° down to 9.8° down, with the average closer to 12.3° or so. Focused mostly on the backswing. Right knee good, hands roll up and out a little before laying off (FAR).
