Though if I really had a lot of money I might quit golf altogether and take up a new hobby such as: collecting sports cars or sleeping with models all day.

I like it! make a race track with all that land and haul butt around it in a 911 GT2....

What a coincidence. i was just thinkin about this today. for the money id put in a range i figure i need it 8 acres by 4acres, with accurate yardages. Awesome

I don't have the money for a fancy course but I do have enough land for a 300+ yard range.

I set up a 50' diameter area at 160 yards from the tee that I keep mowed as a 'green' to practice approach shots with my 6/7 irons.

The problem is ball retrieval, very tedious even with a shag bag.

      New Maxfli Forged Irons - $800!

      I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
