You can find the Nike PD Soft (green box) for about $15/dozen -- nice distance, soft cover and medium spin. I drop and stop them on greens routinely from 150 yards and in.

If you want to play Pro V1x, pick up a dozen recycled at Target for about $26. I've played this alot as well as the NEW ones and I note no difference.

The Bridgestone B330-S is the best ball I've ever played. I played Prov1's and Prov1x's for two straight months (on my high school team you get them for free) and I am convinced personally that the B330-S is a better golf ball. It performs better in windy conditions, less hook or slice pattern if I were to use a Prov1, and it goes further than the Prov1's...not by much but I found just a tad for me.

It's also really nice around the greens. It's my favorite golf ball out there right now.

I'm a fan of the bridgestone balls but I've recently changed to the new topflight gamers. $20 per dozen new, and I didn't lose any distance and gained more spin control around ther greens. How I chose my new ball selection was research and I bought 1 sleeve of each brand I wanted to try out and pick the ball that was right for me.

I was playing the B330-S. The Gamer is no where near as nice feeling and "spiny" but for $20, I think I found my new ball. I tried the Hx Hot Bite and really didn't like it much and could not stop the ball but for some reason the Gamer is really working for me.

I got a good amount of spin from the HX hot bite but I had an issue with it's durability. Every time I pulled out a wedge the ball was done after one shot. Not much use buying cheap balls if you go through 3-4 in a round without losing a single one.

For the money, the Gamer is a real gem of a ball.

I like the Bridgestone e6+ or the Srixon Trispeed; however, if you have a higher swing speed the Srixon may not respond as well for you. The AD333 is a good ball but doesn't give as much control around the green. I like the Srixon URS but it is pricier than the models you listed.

go to wallmart and get a dozen titleist x outsfor 10$ u will find mostly nxt tours but there will be a mix of other balls too.
