I won a dozen Srixon Z-URS balls off the radio. Has anyone played these, if so are they any good. From what I hear/from srixon website they are compairable to the Pro-V1. Help me out, the only other time I've seen srixon balls was at the range.

In my UofL bag:

There a very good ball, Don't be fooled by the name of the brand.

They are supposed to be a very high quality ball. Definitely enjoy using them.

I've been trying to give all the "player's balls" a try this summer. Srixon is the only one I have not had a chance to sample yet. Let us know what you think, as I haven't read too many reviews on them.

Jim Furyk plays the Srixon, if you were looking for PGA credibility for the ball.

Tell you what... play a couple of rounds with them and then you tell us. It is one of Srixon's premium balls, along with the URC, so it should be an excellent ball. I've used them and liked them, but they are about the same as Pro V1, Nike One, Bridgestone 330, etc.

If you don't want them, I'll PM you my address and I'll pay the shipping for you to send them to me.....

Played them today, (6/23/08) I was in a scramble with Falcons QB Chris Redman. By the way he is a hell of a golfer... but back to the balls.... They were long off the tee and soft on the greens the perfect combo. I had a couple of 310+ drives with them. And they truly made getting up and down much easier. I would recommend these to anybody

Not trying to be a jerk but why don't you just try them out? I've used them before and I think that they are great balls but only you knows your preferences in a golf ball.

srixon sl or vx, you'll be happy with them

I personally have been playing the zstar lately when I want to buy a nicer ball.  I like it just as much as a pro-v if not more plus no one plays it so it's kind of cool.

    • Of course it is. If you have that drought in major wins, coming so close, its more pressure than anticipation. Pressure = Relief, Anticipation = Celebration. Don't get me wrong, he celebrated after the fact. The initial response is 100% relief. Which is totally fine.  Yep, golf is hard. He made a poor swing on 15. He was probably taking dead-aim to get a birdie and pushed it. He probably should have played the slope of the green more. Guess what, he then made way more good shots than bad ones coming in to clinch the win.  6-FT from the pin, he has a 74% make from that range.  PGA Tour players only make 95% of their putts from like just shy of 4-FT. PGA Tour average from 4-FT is 92%. Everyone things PGA Tour players make more putts than they do.
    • There’s a whole bunch of one time winners, but they will always be winners.
    • I respectfully disagree. He's the only guy in the last 59 years to complete the career Grand Slam who's not named Tiger Woods. It's a very small club and he's in it. Once you are in the club, you are in the club. He can retire right now and he's a Hall of Famer.  He's tied with Brooks Koepka for the third most major wins among active players. (And that's only if you count Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson as "active" players.)  Everyone knows winning the Masters is difficult and repeating at the Masters is really REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY difficult.
    • To wax a little poetry if I may; it's not how we fall but how we rise after a fall. He always struck to me as a very resilient fella. Surviving the odds including the preening eyes of an army of those who 'expertly' write others off maybe an even higher quality in my book. Hence I refrain from using 'never' as an opinion.  I would have said the same thing about him had he not won this year.
    • Count me in for Saturday at Reserve Run. I'll be there.
