Here is how I started:

At home in the off season, I started playing with it in the living room(don't let your wife catch ya). I started by using my foot to flip the ball up and then try to keep it going(small controlled upward hits). First, I could get only 3-6 in a row... but after some practice(I made a game of it) I was counting 90-120 or enough to almost make a commerial session on TV.

Practice is the key.

I can get maybe 3 or 4, but I have to drop the ball from very close to the face of the club.

This might be common knowledge, but the Nike commercial you are thinking of where he juggles the ball and then turns, swings on it, and kills it was completely adlibed. There was actually a script for the commercial and while they were getting ready to shoot, the director saw Tiger screwing around by juggling and decided that was the commercial he wanted to make instead.

It was also done with 0 CGI enhancement.

I threw my clubs into the lake so it's time to start over...

Here is how I started:

What club did you use? 60degree? And where did you grip the club to start off? Did you start holding it down closer to the hosel? or did you hold the grip like normal?

What club did you use? 60degree?

I started by using my 54* Cleveland and I can also do it well with my 58*. I do grip it closer to the shaft(hosel) and open or turn the club so it is more upward.

I'd start with just 2 hits. Flip the ball up... Hit once, then hit slightly harder and catch that ball... then repeat. Good luck...

It's hard to explain how to do it. I learned by waiting on tee boxes for the group ahead to hit. I slide the wedge under the ball, usually a 56 or 60, and popped it up. Then you start juggling by slightly raising your shoulder, you don't want to use your wrist to bounce it up because you want to keep the club head level and just raise the face of it. -If that makes any sense.

Im pretty good at bouncing it but i cant do any of those trick things. I can just bounce it normal forever but it just takes practice.

so i've been messing around with it for about an hour and i can get about 5 or 6 solid bounces. In this thread, haha i was kinda hoping for advice other than just practice...but i suppose after that hour...there really isn't much to it. "just practice" really seems to be the only thing to it. So yea, good luck to all those trying to Tiger it up.

There are lots of tips on how to do this trick and others at VideoJug - I don't know the exact link but you can search Google, or these forums (it was mentioned somewhere here within the last week.)

I just keep doing it between holes on the tee when waiting for the group ahead. You can get pretty good at it. Im not claimnig to be tiger like in any way lol but you can get good at it with practice.

It's not really that hard. A lot of my friends can do it too.
