Will Titleist re-name it's 2009 model ball?

Will Titleist continue with the Pro V1/V1x name or are they going to change that and go to something like Titleist Emperor 1/Emperor 1x or Titleist Alpha/Beta?

I think they will continue with "Pro V" because it has made such a name for itself.

are they going to go to a 5 piece? Or the Pro V1 will now go from 3 to 4 and the V1x from 4 to 5? I'm very excited to see what new technology they come out with.

what does the "v" stand for?

if it stands for "version", then it would make sense to call it pro-v2.....version2.

I'm actually a PC user. I've just never found the need to upgrade from XP, which has worked just fine for me.

Please don't start with that stuff again. Seriously. However you got the idea in your head that "more pieces" = "more technology," please force it out. It makes no sense.

I will say that Titleist ran a poll at the beginning of the year or late last year asking people about possible new names. Personally, I think the name "Pro V1" has a lot value, and they may just stick with it.

The Pro V2 sounds cool but i think Erik is right and they'll stick with the same name. We'll see.

They are putting an awful lot of marketing into the Pro V1 it seems like a silly idea to change it.

When you already have the leading ball in golf, why would you rush to release the next best thing? Wait until the competition catches up some.
