Both cards are at a first look equally boring, however there are four fights that I will try to see, in UFC Silva's and Francas, in WAMMA Arlovski's and Sobral's.

Wow when it comes to Anderson Silva, and wow when it comes to Fedor. I wasn't shocked at all either won, but I was a little surprised with the ease of victory for both. Silva completely made Irvin look silly, and Fedor completely embarassed Tim Sylvia. I didn't watch the Affliction PPV, but 36 seconds is an embarassment any way you slice it.

Overall, the Spike Fight Night card turned out pretty exciting. I was happy Edgar beat Franca. If Brandon Vera would have been a little more impressive (I expect him to be in his next 205-pound fight), things would have been about perfect.

I'm as excited about the August UFC PPV as I've been for one in awhile. Fitch/GSP, Huerta/KenFlo, and Lesnar/Herring have me pretty amped up.

There is SO much MMA on these days its out of control. So much to watch. Unfortunately I had two parties to go to Saturday so I coulnd't watch anything. I wanted to see Jesse Taylor and CB Dolloway. Who ended up winning that one? I cna't believe Dana White let Taylor back in the UFC so soon after his Ultimate Fighter "incident".

so cb dallaway won the the fight.... but 2mins before he won he kneed jt in the face while he was on the ground?

Jesse Taylor didnt want to take 5 to recover and he was alot slower after being kneed... so i think cb's win was bullshit!

What a great weekend for the MMA fan! I watched both (at the same time) because I'm a nut.

I really enjoyed Arlovski's fight and also the emabarassment of Tim Silvya. Anderson is an animal, and I want him to see go toe to toe with Wanderlei or Chuck. Both would be wars.

Too bad Affliction lost a buttload of money, but hopefully the UFC snags those fighters up quick. If Fedor never fights for the UFC it will tarnish his legacy forever.

I couldn't disagree more. During Fedor's great run in Pride, their HW division was far better than anything the UFC could put together. He has multiple wins over current UFC HW champ, Big Nog, as well as wins over CroCop, Tim Sylvia, etc. I'd like to see him fight both Josh Barnett, Randy Couture, and Andre Arlovski, and that may happen in Affliction. Nonetheless, he will go down as one of the best ever regardless of where he fights. He is that damn good.

1)those are great wins but i want to see he fight a top notch bjj fighter like a frank mir, or a top wrestler like brock(who wouldn't give fedor time to get a fast start, cause brock would take him down quickly)

2)Josh Barnett, Randy Couture, and Andre Arlovski out of those three only arlovski is a relavent maa's but he wouldn't last much longer than tim slyvia

His only real tests in Pride were Nog and Mirko. The rest where freakshow fights. Hong Man Choi, Middleweights, Japanese Cans , Over the hill wrestlers and ZULU!

Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Fedor fan and have watched every fight he had in Pride, but the compeition there was overhyped for lack of a better word. I'm sure you've heard the numerous accusations about fixed fights and steroid abuse in Japan. They are a pro wrestling obsessed country who cares more about the "show" than the athletic competition itself. If he would have fought Barnett and dominated him the way others have, my opinion would probably be different. Because I think Barnett is a top 3 HW in the world.

Not overly excited about this card outside of Arlovski vs Barnett. Maybe even Lindland vs Belfort (Vitor has been one of my favs since early UFC).

I really don't want to see Tito fight again. He's over the hill and brings nothing to the table except some good prefight hype.

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
