I was trying to explain the difference between the specs of a game improvement iron and a players iron to a buddy earlier. However i'm not really certain how the clubs thick or thin top-line, offset, center of gravity etc actually effect the playability. Why do game improvement irons have more of an offset and a thicker top line (if that is true as is)..compared to a players iron? I understand the center of gravity, but i dont have a good explanation for the rest.

Can't really find much online.

Any thoughts?

Something strikes me:
These are duplicate swings, dead center impact, and these shots are coming out 3-4′ right or left of the target line, and as much as 8-9′ short or long

How did he go about making duplicate swings?

I think going to blades flat out isn't the best solution.

Game improvement irons very well may be a bad solution for someone looking to improve.
