So I'm the only one who isn't big on the AK? That's cool, I'll stick by my guns...no major for him until at least 2013

That is a LONG LIMB you just climbed out on. Be prepared to have it cut off in a few weeks at Oakland Hills.

He's a great player, probably Tiger's biggest threat in the next few years after he develops fully.

nike is salivating at his potential

This is too true

He's really impressive...
His swing is the most athletic to me.
I'm glad I had the opportunity to follow him at the US Open, even if he didn't have his best round...
He can only get bigger...& I root for him every single week..
He actually became my favorite player...
GO AK !!!

didnt look that good today....

Didn't putt that bad considering these are the toughest greens they've played all year. Sergio 4 jacked it on 17 yesterday. No one is putting lights out on those monster greens.

He's right in the thick of it still. If he would stop firing at some of those impossible flags, I really think he could win this tournament. He took some super aggressive angles Thursday and Friday, and it hurt him.

Is it true that AK messed up his swing by excessive time in a baseball batting cage?

I'm a big Kim fan, and think he can definately be somewhat of a challenge to Tiger in the next year or so, as Tiger has even acknowledged that. But, the weak part of his game that he needs to work on if he wants to compete w/ Tiger is his putting!!!! If Kim could putt consistantly well he would be in every tournament he plays in. He needs to get that Scotty of his working for him to be a better golfer.

That being said. Anyone know his "story"?? Had a dad that pushed and pushed him, moved the family out to California to live on a golf course so Anthony could golf more. Dad was pretty hard on him, and Anthony had enough come college time so he purposely went to Oklahoma to get away. There he had a spat or two w/ the coach and was even suspended for 2 matches.

But, probably after a little maturing on his part and w/ out the dad being too involved in him........ he's where he's at today....... and just getting better.........

I hope........ (get that flat stick working kid!!!)

He definitely has talent and a lot of potential. He has an amazing swing. But i think sometimes he starts playing to fast. Ive seen a few times when he just walked up to the ball and hit it with hardly looking where it should go. Maybe its over confidence. I think he could be one to compete with Tiger if he can learn Tiger's level of commitment and concentration.

It will be a long time before he gets to that position if he ever does. There are much better young golfers who have not challenged to this day. Andres Romero is one such golfer way ahead of AK. So is Sergio AK has NT come close in amajor or the Players so what makes you this he will do it soon. His puttin along with his patience and smarts are definitely suspect. look at his play today on an easier course at the PGA

Andres Romero has won one time on the PGA Tour, and in a second-tier type event at that. AK has won two fairly big tournaments.

Romero did well at the British, and he won a big Euro Tour event a week later, but let's not get carried away. AK is ranked 15th in the world - Romero is 27th.

No kidding he should also have won the British 2007 lost it on his last hole ( i believe experience problem). Had a great British 2008 And today shot 5 under par at the toughest course this year. also he finished 8th in the MASTERS this year and he did win the PGA tournament in Zurich classic New Orleans in March on top of his win in europe. What did AK do. in any Major to impress you and the rest of the golf world. ???/

    • Day 132: did some mirror work while watching TV. Worked on backswing stuff primarily.
    • 26 Nov 24 -  It was not a record breaking round by any means, but rather a simple walking of the back nine today playing TBWB (two ball-worse ball) where the challenge is to play the worse of the two shots played - could be an errant drive from the woods, a tree knocked ball that is 100 yds farther back down the fairway, a nGIR ball as opposed to a GIR….the goal today was to stay no worse than bogie thru nine.  Managed to achieve that goal - bogied 7 holes with one dbl and one par to counter the dbl.  It’s about staying focused and not letting a bad shot or lie derail, but rather be an opportunity.
    • Day 208 (26 Nov 24)- Opted to walk 9 today (was the back nine as they had a huge group going off the front) but instead of it being persimmons and blades, I had the regular gamers but made it a TBWB (two ball-worst ball) round.  This really challenges on several fronts - ball striking to be as consistent as possible, course management from non-optimal lies and keeping your head in it as it can be depressing to nail a shot on line-on target and the second rattles the trees right and it’s over 50 yards back and that’s the one you have to play.  The goal was to be no worse than bogie overall (+9).  Finished the round exactly on the number with some solid recoveries, no penalty strokes and only one 3-putt.
