I must say, if I weren't such a Titleist fan, I'd be a Mizuno fan second. This driver looks sexy :

Erik J. Barzeski —  I knock a ball. It goes in a gopher hole. 🏌🏼‍♂️

Wow, that does look nice. Maybe I'll pick it up when it comes out.

Though I've never really put it in the bag, mizuno makes some kick ass gear. That fin was the first thing I saw too. I wonder if it "stabilizes" the head while it's flying through the air....

I'm tellin' ya, the lockness moster driver is next.

Why not? We have a sasquatch out there already, some other fantasy figures should follow.

It's true! I've heard rumors about the Callaway Tooth Fairy, the MacGregor Santa Claus, the Nickent Paul Bunyan, the Ping King Kong, and the Titleist Jackalope. Look out!

"Ping King Kong" has a good ring to it. How about the new big putter from ping: The Ping Zing King Kong

I prefer the new Loch Ness Monster Driver from Nickent: The "Nickent Nessie"

I love Mizuno's stuff. I think they have the best irons out there and I must say that this driver looks saweeet.

Fairways and Greens.

Wow, 9 available and 0 sold. Guess nobody wants to pay almost $800 for a driver that will probably be available in a month or two for less than half that price.

Hahaha yup. But there will be some people who pay outrageous prices just so they can say they had it first. Big deal. I'd rather buy other stuff than have bragging rights about something so trivial.

    • Interesting that it's no penalty, but then again, I can't imagine someone would purposefully put their foot out there in this situation or one like it.  And then there was the time someone purposefully deflected his own ball during a major, but that's very different too. The only time I can recall a ball I hit hitting another player or their equipment was ages ago -- over a decade and a half ago.  I had a 3' putt for an 89 and someone (a random pairing, not someone I knew) decided it was a good time for goaltending practice.  That wouldn't fall under this rule, though (and it wasn't in a tournament anyway). Thanks for continuing to share these, Dave!  I always find these interesting.
    • Day 51 (29 Apr 26) - Worked with a few of the golf team kids plus my grandson (he’s too young for the team as it’s middle-high school age and he’ll be 10 Sat).  He put on a small hitting clinic (hitting off the same tees as the rest of the boys) - one of the older kids called him a “coach”.  Worked in a few shots for myself - had the light bag: driver, 7w, 4 - 6 - 8 - Pw - Sw (DCI 962’s except the Sw a 981) and Zebra putter….got in some great tee shots, a couple of recovery and an awesome up and down for bogie: 55 yds out, hitting 4th shot due to 2nd getting tangled in limbs - see the window I need to hit for a tight spinner with the Sw - nail it to a postage letter distance from the cup for a tap in bogie….my kind of practice.
    • Day 21, April 29.  Before going to work this morning, I worked in my indoor practice room for 20 minutes.   This was entirely 6-iron shots with the usual step.  Video yesterday showed me that I'm still straightening my trail leg too much (leading to the backswing length issue I've been working to fix), so I focused on not doing that in my rehearsal swings.
    • Exactly correct.   I was absolutely certain about the penalty (none here), but the bit about where they play from can be really confusing the first time you read it.  In my big paper rule book, i used colored highlighters to make it clear.  Good thing I did, at the Cascades there's little to no cell service, so using the rules app on the phone wasnn't possible.
    • Taking a crack it, but looks pretty clear. 11.1  Ball in Motion Accidentally Hits Person or Outside Influence. a. No Penalty to Any Player If a player’s ball in motion accidentally hits any person (including the player) or outside influence: There is no penalty to any player. This is true even if the ball hits the player, the opponent or any other player or any of their caddies or equipment. Reading further down it looks like they have to play the ball as it lies. No replay from the previous spot.
