The sabertooth feels so much better than the scotty. I've played them side by side and the sabertooth just has so much power behind it its ridiculous.

I would personally go with the Scotty, I couldnt be happier with my Scotty. They are truely amazing putters and in my opinion nothing comes close to a Scotty in terms of feel.

all the way. Those Sabertooths look too weird and there is nothing like the feel of a Scotty Cameron.
The Cameron is going to hold its value better too. You could play the Cameron for a few years and sell it for what you paid for it, I dont think you could say the same about the Sabretooth.

I don't like how the sabertooth looks, and the insert makes long putts hard to judge distance.
Scotty Camerons are crafted better and are pure feeling machines.
I just got a studio select, and I have only played two rounds with it, but I have already adjusted, it is worth the money, and in your case for an extra $10. Go with the scotty.

Go with the Sabertooth.
Make a putt with the Scotty and you'll feel, "I was supposed to make that."

I really feel like everybody who says scotty hasn't even touched a sabertooth.

It feels amazing. I've dropped so many putts with my sabertooth. People say you can't beat a scotty, but the differences are minimal. It's all in the eye of the beholder. I feel great pulling out my "kitty". I was golfing with some friends the other day and they said they were intimidated by my putter.

No idea where you're getting this. Long putts are easy as hell with the sabertooth. I barely to have to swing the monster.

You probably already know this, but the choice of putter should always come down to feel. Anyway, I think it's helpful to know some of the design features of the Sabertooth. It's an offset putter and Odyssey distributed a lot of the weight to the toe so that you'll make straighter putts. The Sabertooth also has a nice design feature which helps with alignment issues, i.e. the two protruding bars behind the sweet spot. I like this feature both on this putter and others like it since it allows you to visualize to "train tracks" to the target.

As for the Scotty Cameron, there really isn't that much that I have to say about it.

I really like the Sabertooth.

Looks weird, feels great... putts like a dream. Long putts are a breeze.

Friends can't believe the feel when they test it out.

My first scramble I dropped 3 putts of 32, 45, and 27 feet. Great confidence builder! My partners couldn't believe I was the same golfer.

It's making a difference in my game.

The one you like the best. It's a waste of your time to have created a poll for this type of question.

    • Although the base rules don't make this really clear, the Player must have decided to use Unplayable Ball relief before lifting the ball.  This exact situation is discussed in the Committee Procedures section of the Rules, section 6C(8).  Section 6C addresses how to rule when a Player proceeds under a Rule that does not apply.  Note that 9.4 applies, 9.4 deals with a player moving his ball when no rule allows it.   Rule 9.4 penalizes the Player for lifting his ball when not permitted by the Rules, and requires him to replace it.  Since he dropped and played from a different place, the Wrong Place penalty applies.  As for a serious breach, that would only apply if the Wrong Place gave him a really significant advantage.  Since he could have taken Unplayable Ball relief in essentially the same spot, for just 1 penalty stroke, the Wrong Place penalty of 2 strokes is enough "punishment", there's no need to consider a DQ.
