I like the Top Flite XL5000's (in the green box.. Super Soft, I believe).

Long off the tee.... spin good for a budget ball.
One instance last year that stuck out to me was a 162 yard Par 3 on my home course, that I stuck one of these about ten feet past the pin.. and rolled it back to pin high.... (unfortunately, I was to the left :) )

Very few budget balls can do that, and finally I found one.

The HX Hot's are not balls I would play with on a normal basis. A little too hard for my liking but if you like them that's all that matters. Right? What I want to say about them is they are the farthest ball out there. I have hit them all. I am a very long hitter and my average drive is slightly over 300 yards. "Yea yea I know it's 19 yards above the PGA average. You don't have to believe me". But when I play in best ball tournaments I use the HX Hot to drive with and my drives are 320-330. These balls are very very very long.
