I hope she mellows out though..she's so wound up..she seems like a sore loser..I remember a few months ago..when that Korean gal holed out from the bunker to clinch the womens U.S. Open. The camera panned to Morgan and she just was shocked..flipped her club backwards..looked like she was about to cry.

There was a quote by her in Golf Digest, to paraphrase, that Michele Wie first needs to learn how to win on the LPGA tour first..well I'm not a fan of neither players..but Morgan needs to "learn" how to lose also.

Morgan staying Morgan could be one of the best things for the LPGA. Women's soccer took off when someone ripped off their shirt, after all... Someone emotional may bring attention to the sport. Whether it's good or bad, I can't say... I think being a sore winner is really the only "bad" thing so long as being a "sore loser" doesn't mean talking smack about the winners or something.

Agreed. I think Pressel's fire is her best characteristic. Sure, she gets a little too wound up at times, but the positives far outweigh the negatives from what I've seen. If she didn't play like that, she might not be as good.

I've seen a couple interviews with her on The Golf Channel, and she seems to have to her head on straight. Here's hoping she teaches Michelle Wie how to win on the big stage.

Or at least smile. It really isn't that hard.

See? Wie looks like she's constipated out there.

Fairways and Greens.

Even with a wedge up her skirt, ha-ha

...or maybe that's the problem...hmmm

All that really matters is she can play!!! Bring on the best and let them play. Game on! Let's see some of that competative fire. That goes for Wie as well. If they are really that good then they should be allowed to compete.

These young women have the opportunity to bring more attention to the game and to the LPGA as a whole. We have been watching womans golf, in particular, growing in popularity. This could vault the LPGA to another level.

As a fan of the game, I like to see the best play. Bring 'em on.

Although I really think Morgan Pressel will impress on the tour, by changing her (Bivens') mind it opens up opportunities for all age groups to petition for membership. Better idea? Let anyone who can make the cut become a full-fledged member of the LPGA.

My pick for 2006 Rolex Rookie Player of the Year goes to Ai Miyazato .

Sincerely,
Stacy Solomon

Wow, stickin' your neck out early there Stacy. Just for the heck of it, I'm gonna choose Pretzel. I plan to call her "Pretzel" instead of "Pressel" all year, too.

Well then Wie is Wieker because of her

close association to Muppet Beaker .

Jeesh, I still crack up over that!

Stacy's Predictions :

Morgan Pressel's outbursts will cost her a major this year.

Miyazato will be rookie player of the year.

Watch out for Paula Creamer. What will she do for an encore?
In season one Paula was second on the tour to only one person, Annika Sorenstam .
Can you believe that the oldest girl in the rookie group is Miyazato and she's not even 21?

Sincerely,
Stacy Solomon

Stacy's Predictions

The prediction here is more of the same. Creamer is the real deal and has all of the maturity that Pressels still lacks (but give her time).

Paula Creamer is the next #1 player on the LPGA. It may not be 2006, but it won't be long.
A Mixed Bag

Driver 320Ti, 10.5 R, stock graphite
Ovation 3W, Aldila 65R graphite
Dunlop DDH 5W Edge CFT Hybrid 3-iron, #3 graphite CFT irons 4 - E wedge, #3 graphite Apex Edge F wedge 60 degree LW Bobby Grace M5K putter Laddie X A3

I recoiled a bit at her reaction, too. Realizing though, that she is; 1.) a highly motivated prodigy, and 2.) only 16 ...I think we will enjoy watching her as she matures.

I (for one) think the hyped up rivalry between Michelle and Annika is going to pale with the addition of the new band of youngsters. Pressel and Creamer alone are going to make it a little harder for leaders to sleep after the second round, I think.

Bury me with a golf glove in my pocket - just in case!

Did you see the ADT Skills Challenge this weekend?
Annika was at the bottom of the pack.
Paula Creamer did fairly well, putting at least as well as Peter Jacobson.

Are Annika's skills weakening with the threat of the onslaught of rookie talent? Is the world's number-one LPGA female starting to choke ?

Sincerely,
Stacy Solomon
