My wife and I played a round of golf on our honeymoon, 10 years ago. We have a 12 year old (my step-daughter) that also goes out with us and is taking an interest in it. This is our 10th year anniversary coming up in Sept., so rather than going on a trip for the h/m, we gave each other a new set of Callaways. We thought we'd spend that much or more on the trip, so why not put it towards something we could enjoy together for years to come.
Golf is just another activity that we enjoy doing together.

Glad I don't have a wife now that makes me look for way to get away from her.

Almost posted a new thread but this fits the bill. I need help.

I'd be pretty stoked if I was you. You could turn this into an entire "hustle" situation... start with your dad first.

+1 on Rexx's comments!!!!

And she hasn't played since college? What 2 3 yrs maybe....so she will be a little rusty. I think she will play to you and your dad's level this time....next time she will whip both your a$$es!

It's the indian, not the arrow! But it sure is nice to have good arrows!!!!!

My GF is going to play her first round of nine tomorrow at the par 3.

Man, this is touching. I hope one day I can say stuff like this about my girl! (When I find the willpower to last more than a few months with one.)

Admittedly, I could never date a girl who is a better golfer than I am. I'm not mentally strong enough.

Been with my girlfriend for a year and a half now and looks like we might be picking up a set for her this weekend. She has been to the range and hit a few balls off one of my little brother's club and she has gone on the course with me, but I can't wait to get out and play with her.

My wife does not play golf. She occasionally expresses interest in it but she doesnt have the patience or the drive to practice much. I have taken her out with me to chip and putt a few times but she gets bored quickly and wants to leave. Also, there is no way I can give her swing tips...I've learned that one the hard way! So now when she states that she wants to play I tell her feel free to go get some lessons which keeps her quiet for awhile. I always tell people that its a win win situation for me, if she decides to play we will go out and have fun together, if not then I get some time away out on the course
