I am in the market for a new 2-Hybrid, 17-19* loft, steel shaft. Have you used any of these, and what are your experiences with them?

I have a Cleveland halo 2i. I do like it but as it is a 2iron I hardly need to use it. The only time that i need it is into the wind when playing a low running shot or off the tee. For me it is the same as hitting a fairway wood.
Golf is a game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into an even smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-designed for the purpose.

Go with the 2007 Burner, I just bought one 3 days ago and I love it. It's not steel shaft but it is very workable. I hit it from 210 yds out (it's a 4 iron hybrid) and I had to put a little cut on it to get around a patch of trees and I put it about 12 feet from the hole. If I may make a suggestion, don't get a steel shaft. To me it takes away all the feel and it feels like you are hitting a rock when you hit your ball.

I find a steel shaft gives a better feel and more feedback than a graphite shaft.

By the way I use a cleveland hibore, very nice and workable.

I have the fusion 2-H, I don't actually keep it in my bag as I use the 3-w, 3-h and 4-h. I figure the gap between my 3-w and 3-h is preferable than that between my pw and sw. I really like the club, has a great trajectory for into the wind. Hell if you want to buy mine I'm open to offers....

Don't know much about them, which hybrids are comparable to these I listed, and if they are in price range($70-$140)

I picked the Sasquatch, but to tell you the truth, I didn't really like any of those clubs. I'd say that you either go with a Bobby Jones hybrid, or an Adams Golf hybrid.

I bought the G10.

Were I going to go back and do it again.....I'd opt for steel shaft and maybe 2 degrees more loft.

The club is a gem, though.

I dont use hybrids but one of my friends used the Taylormade rescue TP and he loved it. Maybe its cause of his $300 matrix ozik atlus shaft. HAHA

I love my Nicket DC/DX's. Or is it DX/DC? Either way they are great hybrids.

I use the Adams Idea Pro with the VS proto 80 after reading the review here...
It's got the best looking face ( better than their new pro gold i think) & the shaft is a bomb !

    • Flying into ATL on Sept 11 (Thu), early, leaving Sept 15 (Mon), late. Dates are fixed. Trying to hit the best RTJ Trail stops without spending half the trip in the car.   Plan: Thu: Grand National (Lake or Links) Fri: GN AM, then drive to Capitol Hill, play Senator Sat: Capitol Hill – Judge Sun: Ross Bridge Mon: Oxmoor Ridge early, drive to ATL   Thinking about squeezing in Cambrian Ridge after Capitol Hill—worth it or too much? Would love any feedback or tips from those who’ve done it.
    • Day 73 (13 Jul 25) (note: forgot to post the "day" for the past few days, up to day 73) - Easy day in the backyard, with time on the 50deg wedge and the mat (simulating tight lies around the green) working on low spinners.  Love using this mat as it is small and portable but also lends to being a type of alignment rod to get a proper setup.  Finished up with a few swings with the 54.
    • Congrats on the new leg of your journey - the challenge of learning something new while dealing with Parkinson’s is totally awesome.
    • Played several holes today with my Buddy's left haded clubs.  I was going to order just woods, but after playing again today and hitting the irons well, I will be ordering a complet set of Left handed Clubs.    They are Callaway Edge, Regular flex.  I am excited !  Will let you know after I try them and let you know how well they performed.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • Depends in part on what lie the greens crew left me. If it's first cut of rough or fairway and clear shot to cup, it's an 8i chip and run. If it's shaggy, or I have to go over ridge or bunker, it's a cut shot with a 58* LW.
