Not a bad looking swing,if you could erase that arm lift in your back swing it would be a lot better though, you turn your shoulders nice and when you should be starting your downswing you lift your arms a foot losing some coil and power and accuracy.

seems like maybe there's a little too much going on with your left knee during your backswing. but what do I know?

What's in my bag:

TourEdge Exotics 2,3,4 hybrid irons
Tommy Armour 845cs Silverbacks 5-PW
Assorted wedges, Ping Scottsdale Anser

Great looking swing for a 38 Handi-do you hit a fade/slice? Your left arm is breaking down try to keep it straighter.

Thanks guys,

What do you mean by arm lift? Do you mean that I keep the arms going back past the point where the shoulders still turn?

The left leg really surprised me when I saw myself, I had no idea I was doing that! I'll try to calm that down and see how it helps. The natural shape of this shot is a draw, but not much of one, only goes a few degrees off to the left. I'm pretty happy with my shape, it's nice and controlled and consistent on the low irons.
I don't actually know my handicap, I generally shoot in the low 100s, last time I played was my best of 102. My biggest problem is that when I hit a bad shot, it's really bad. I lose more than a dozen balls per round, and those penalty strokes are killing me (so is the cost of the balls). That last round, I shot a 45 on the back nine, and I think I only lost 1 ball, so I know I can have a much better score if I can just turn my awful shots into only not good ones.

Andy

what i notice is your haunched spine. i think you should try to keep your back straighter, and bend at the hips to get closer to the ball. do you always choke up on your clubs?

    • Are free fittings a common thing? I was kind of under the assumption that there was usually a cost associated with them, unless you actually purchased their clubs or something.  What's the best way to find free ones?
    • I'd find a free fitting, take your clubs, and see what you can see. For example, we have a PXG fitter come to our academy every Tuesday, and he's great about sharing info about why he's having you hit a certain shaft or clubhead or something. And… if you don't see much of a change, skip it.
    • Day 1 (3 Apr 25) - Restarting the routine after a 4 day quick trip.  Got back in the groove today for some swings of the 6i and driver into the net -‘to just warm the muscles a little.  Wrapped up the day with grandson hitting 20-25 yd pitches in the backyard.  Love watching his swing and also his concept of course management, to hear him say he left himself in a good position to finish (good words from a soon to be 9 yr old)….
    • Day 185 - 2025-04-03 Had a good 2.5 hour session at Golf Evolution. Kinda glad it was still wet and windy out today as I wouldn't have gotten such a good session in if I played. Got up to 93 MPH (with a pause) on my 6I and 130 MPH ball speed (on a different slightly slower hit, a bit more de-lofted than I'll want eventually).
    • I'm highly probable for the entire weekend, thanks for doing the hard work to set it up.  I can't wait for more details.
