What can I be doing that is causing a hook? My hybrid has a little offset, but hasn't been a problem until now. I can sometimes hit it straight, but lately it has been hooking badly. All my other clubs are fine. What can I do? What should I do? Thanks

If it is a hook and not a pull, then the face is closed relative to your swing path. If you aren't having this problem with your other clubs I'd first look at ball position. Maybe try moving in back in your stance a little. If it is too far up in the stance then the face may be already starting to close a little by the time you are contacting the ball.

I do the exact same thing. I tend to hook my hybrids, and none of my other clubs. Playing it a little more back in my stance usually does the trick, along with thinking about pushing my hands on an in-to-out swing path and not turning my hands over so much.
In my bag:

Hybrids:Baffler DWS 3,4 Wedges:588 RTG DSG 56º, 60ºPutter:White Hot XG #9 34"Grips: Lamkin Crossline CordsBall: Pro V1x

A lot of golfers, including myself, are guilty of letting the ball creep into a fairway wood position - the club looks like a wood. But I think its better to put the ball more in a mid iron position and even hit down a tad at times.

The key to hybrids is you have to think of them like they are an iron. That means playing them in the middle of your stance and hitting down on the ball.
I strugged with hybrids at first too, but then I learned what I was doing wrong (playing the ball waaaay too far foreward in my stance) and now its all good.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

    • Day 1: After a long practice layoff due to injury, vacation, winter darkness, and work stuff, I'm trying to start back up again. Today I just hit balls with keys from my lesson 6-ish weeks ago; neutral grip and centered turn. Gonna work with that for a few weeks, see how it goes, and then get a lesson scheduled.
    • It’s not live on free to air tv in the UK, and hasn’t been since 1995. ( I pay a subscription to Sky for generally good golf coverage). There are limited highlights on the BBC for some golf events, but that’s it. Are other/all PGA events on NBC?  Allowing ticket scalping is a systemic failure across sports and showbiz, which could be legislated against, but in the UK is not in any meaningful way. I don’t know much about the secondary market in the US or anti scalping measures.  Charging more to keep prices down is an interesting concept, in practice no doubt you are right even if It sounds a bit Catch 22  Do you think sports tickets and broadcast rights  should be sold on a purely capitalist basis, or is there an argument to say that some sports might benefit more from wider exposure and affordable access. ( golf in the US is apparently not one of these if tickets sold out at those prices so quickly)  Fans might benefit from cheaper tickets and in the UK at least, TV coverage that reaches a wider audience.
