2005 ESPN Fantasy Golf League

Each golfer will accumulate some points no matter what. There is a certain amount of money/points awarded depending on which round they LOSE in, with the exception of the eventual winner, of course.

I'm nervous right now. Darren Clarke blew his big lead and they're on the 17th hole all-square.

Browsing the picks I gotta comment on Rafcin's team. CHIII is playing O'Hearn in the first round, then the winner between them plays Tiger in the second round... Kinda crazy there Rafcin, kinda crazy!

Yeah I think that loss hurt quite a few people. I didn't pick Clarke on the ESPN league but I had him going to the final four on the Golfonline bracket.

Yes, I tried to at least space my people out among the brackets. My "cheap" pick in Poulter won, and the more expensive Flesch lost. Tiger and Chad, hopefully, will win. Chad's down 2 through 9 though so it's not looking hot.

This is a tough thing to pick. More upsets than the NCAA tournament. The middle of the field is so evenly matched with the bottom. I thought Raffy's picks were crazy, too. Glad someone else said it.

This was a rather uneventfull round of fantasy golf. Bring on the stroke play!

Well, the Match Play results have been tabulated. Somehow I've moved up to third... and scored 87%. The only player I had in the final four was Ian Poulter, and he lost two matches.

Wacky freakin' system. I'm now 91.2% overall, or 2757th. Raf and Ben are ahead of me.

I'm saying nothing of my team for this week. I've managed to only get two players to the weekend when bragging of the greatness of my previous teams before the start of play.

I'm happy with my picks for Doral which, of course, means that they'll all miss the cut.

Going against my gut picks, I made a last minute swap last night and switched Esteban Toledo for Kevin Na. Let's hope Kevin comes through... Esteban is -4 after the first round, Kevin at -2.

Checking out the all around leaders, only three of the top ten picked Phil. If Phil keeps up his insane playing I'll be moving up the ladder quite a bit this week.

I didn't. Who'da thunk Adam Scott would MC? A 78 today!!! I'm only -22, one of my worst showings ever. I'm in last in our little group.

Not my best tournament. But I narrowly hold onto third... -14 today was a phenomenal score. I thought I had a good thing going with Mickelson playing poorly and Toms doing well on the holes Tiger botched. To score -10 with two eagles? Bah.

I blame Adam Scott.

Adam definitely screwed you last week. That was quite a shock to see him, not only miss the cut, but shoot 6 over the second day...

In anycase, only two tournaments left for the first segment. I'm in 72nd place now. Let's hope I can move up the ladder to number 1!
