2005 PGATour.com Fantasy League

I'm one of those obsessed people who play as many different leagues as I can possibly manage. I plan to set-up a league at PGATour.com. Erik and musk have already rogered up. Think of it this way, more chances to win prizes.

As I said (deja vu?), we'll set up another Sand Trap "league" over there as well. I've signed up, so I look forward to the email.

Sign up with an ID for now, and they say they'll email you before the contest kicks off. It's supposed to be on the 18th, though, and that's real darn soon , so I figure that we'll be getting an email right quick here.

Kinda weird that they're kicking it off after the first two tournaments of the year.

Yahoo's league doesn't kick-off until the first week of February.

Pad away, musk. Also, invite other folks to come here (don't get yourself banned or whatnot on other forums, but invite your friends), and then specifically direct them to join up with the league.

Sure wish these online leagues let players join "in progress." They'd only be hurting themselves (i.e. "zeros" the previous weeks they weren't playing), so it's not like they could "cheat the system" or anything.

I don't think PGATour.com has generated the groups yet, Skrumple. We're still waiting on e-mail confirmation that we can set-up our group and pick our teams. So you should be able to join in from the start.

After further consideration, we have decided against participating in the PGA TOUR Fantasy this season. They have partnered up with CBS Sportsline and the site isn't that easy to use. They also failed to let us know that their season starts THIS week, so if I hadn't looked, we would have missed it anyway. The groups are very awkward to setup, as well.

We will be continuing the league at ESPN and running a free Yahoo league that starts on Feb. 3, though.

And their site crashes Safari routinely. Frickin' PGATour.com and its kin have some of the worst damn code ever.
