Yes it says plenty. First it shows your arrogance in implying that some how American crowds are uncivilized. Second it implies European crowds have never gotten out of hand,

Not true, you have given an example but provided no evidence, Evidence would be video footage of this happening. Obviously I am not denying anything, however European behaviour has never matched that of Brookline, the low point of the Rydercup imo.

Encouraging schoolyard style bullying, and then saying grow up!

Did Boo complain about anything or say anything negative about Europeans? No, I don't thinks so. Dumb analogy.

First off, I saw Azinger say, "It's okay to cheer" or whatever, and there was a press conference after the day was over.

A reporter asked him what he meant by that comment and his words in a nutshell were that American's aren't used to the Ryder Cup format, so they don't really know how they are supposed to act. He said it is okay for the crowd to cheer if a European misses a putt, if it means we win the hole.

To me, the crowd was great. It's a home field advantage. Get over it. Maybe the European fans should take some lessons next time.

What are you talking about? I wasn't talking about the crowds.

I very much doubt that happened. Westwood seemed intent on saying anything to make the Americans look back. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he made that up.

You completely miss my point.

Whether Westwood was right or wrong, makes no difference. Your 'eye for an eye' is ok mentality is very childish. Thats what I was getting at.

Lee is a whining bitch, he's pissed because he lost, sore loser, period. i used to respect him and even rooted for him alittle against tiger in the us open so i am very upset to see him act this way. as far as euros having more class is bullshit also, seve ballestaros was the worst as far as gamesmanship, padraig aint much better. but i dont remember the u.s. bitching about anything the last two ass whoopings we recieved. its just like the movie "the greatest game ever" the euros just expect they should beat us because the drink tea and dont get dirty when they work. just my 2cents ie lee can have his i can have mine

You are a crass bore sir and exemplify the lack of class that has been alluded to .

You completely miss my point.

Look, I'm not saying he should have things thrown at him or screams in his backswing. I'm saying if he wants to whine and complain and try to take something away from the American victory after we've lost so many times in a row, which is exactly what he was trying to do, he can't expect to be a fan favorite over here. Probably won't happen, Sergio is still a fan favorite over here and he probably has behaved worse (by some of your all's definitions, not mine, I think it's fine to do what he does and what Boo did) than any competitior in the history of the Ryder Cup.

Just like we tell our citizens, this is America take it or leave it. Anyone who does not like America is welcome NOT to come back...someone please let Lee know that. No one forces him to play here.

An American foreign policy statement ?

Exactly. I guess these guys think Westwood should just be able to demean Americans and then come over here and take their money. BS. I hope he gets Monty treatment the rest of his career because he deserves it. If he wants American money, show some decency and stop acting like a whiney little baby. I can't imagine the treatment an American would get if they said the same things and then went to England, or even worse, Ireland. And lol @ somebody on their soap box because I said Westwood should get Monty treatment. Grow up and grow some.

Golf players and fans in Europe dont behave that way you arse.

I agree. I think thats a fair statement.

There is a big difference between not supporting him though, and actively victimising him.

Even if players from other countries don't "behave" the way you think they should, what makes your way the right way? Just curious.

The game is changing.

LOL, is this guy serious? Even the European players, other than Westwood, say it's exactly how the Europeans have behaved. LMAO

Just for the record I thought the fans were great and the atmosphere was spot on . I do think it is wrong to have players waving their arms and inciting the crowds , it shows a lack of polish to say the least and a lack of respect for the ethos of the game . The better side won an di doubt any European would not agree with that and i for one am glad that it's a decent contest again.

Are you asking if I am serious??

Cause I am..... Just because American players don't act the way Europeans seem to think they should act, what makes the Europeans right in that argument? That's all I'm asking.

No, I was talking about the post to which you were responding. The guy acting like European fans act like choir boys. They don't and the players, other than Westwood, have said the same.

I also think it's fair play to not buy anything he endorses.

Thats up to you. You might be alone with that one though, not sure many people will give up ping clubs or titleist balls for that reason.

I know I won't be trading my G10 driver in!

Perhaps the game is changing in the States but certainly not for better if Weekleys behaviour and the defense of it on this forum is indicative of the situation.

    • Not really, no. I don't know the history, what you've worked on, what you've tried and moved away from… etc.
    • Day 9: 2/16/25 Putting through 50 mm gates from 11”. Swing pressure shift drills.
    • Definitely not a favorite… For some reason my wife and I started watching Cobra Kai. I know the original was pretty cheesy, but the inability of these people to get over shit that happened like 30 years ago is astounding. And these kids would be arrested, but they don’t even seem to get suspended from school. Would Danny not notice that Johnny’s son looks like Johnny? Etc.? Why would a completely different dojo that has the same name be “banned”? Oy. Not sure we’ll make it to season 2.
    • Day 139 - 2025-02-16 Weather led to a rescheduled GEARS lesson, so I used the time to work on my swing for 60 minutes or so. All downswing stuff. Some swings at 93 MPH. Most around 75-80.
