Now, I know gloves dont have much of a life to them but I have a Titlelist Perma-Soft glove that has 3 rounds on it, and there is a hole forming in the thumb already.

What gloves can i get that will last longer than 3 rounds?

I too am curious as to how long a glove should last. However, 3 rounds doen't sound right to me. Maybe you are gripping with to much pressure.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

Three rounds is awfully short for glove life, even if you have grips that accelerate wear faster than others. I have 10 pair of Footjoys that I cycle every three to six holes. Some are going on three years and I have not worn a hole in any of the ones I have tossed. All have been because of sweat or rain killing or stretching the leather.

You could try a synthetic glove like FootJoy WeatherSof. Synthetics tend to last a little longer than leathers due to the material. Leather gloves will always wear faster than others. The advantage of leather however is the soft feel and touch you get from them, versus the relative lack of feel from a synthetic.

I use Titleist Players, or Players Tech gloves, and I love the feel they give me.

Yeah, I had a Perma-Soft. $14 down the toilet. After one short 9 hole round it was completely black, and there were rips in it. I like my Taylor Made glove and also a durable one is the Callaway Warbird.

Ill tell you a glove that doesnt last, FJ sci flex, I bought 5 of them in the begining of the season and each of them lasted like 4 to 5 rounds. Last season I used a FJ weather soft glove which lasted me all season.

Ive had really good luck with Mizuno Retroflex gloves. They seem to hold up really well and dont turn black like some other gloves I tried.
I tried a Footjoy Weathersof and after about 5 rounds it was junk.
Id say I have at least 10 rounds on the Retroflex I have now and it still looks like I just took it out of the wrapper.

That's interesting, my friend tried one of those and lost it after 1 day. I have not tried it, but after what my friend said I never did, but I may try it since you said it's pretty good.

Lately I have been using the Ping M-Fit and that is a very very durable glove for me, and I mean I will hit 500+ golf balls a day, plus I also play 18 holes. But when I was in Oregon I tried the Nike Dry Fit Tour (the one with the mesh stuff on the back of the glove.) and so far those have with-stood about a week so far, and they have done so very well, almost like the Ping's. Now I would like to say that I feel durability also has to do with how the glove fits. I used to use FootJoy gloves, they fit alright, but if I wore Men's Small they are a little loose which caused them to move a little and I feel this contributed to not lasting very long. The Ping and Nike gloves run a bit smaller, and so the Men's Small fits my hands well and comfortably tight, which I think adds to durability. If I have to buy FJ gloves (if there is nothing else to get) I will buy a women's glove so I get they same comfortably tight fit.

Here's what I play:

If your only concern is its life then the Nike Dura Feel is your best bet, but it's not very comfortable. Someone else mentioned the Taylormade Targa Tour glove which is also what I use. It's extremely comfortable and it will last you a good long time.

Also, while were on the subject of gloves, keep all your gloves in a Ziploc baggy; it keeps them from getting crusty and disgusting.

you guys are rough on gloves. I use cord grips and my gloves last me about 3 weeks which is about 15 rounds plus 20 hours of practice. I keep my glove on the entire round also. I am not sure if that helps. If you are wearing your glove out really fast you need to check your grip pressure at the end of the backswing. you are probably losing the club in your hands

I use Nike Durafeel and they are pretty comfortable after a few rounds. I have gone through two pairs since May. (21 rounds)

I am not so sure I totaly agree with that. I have some that seem to last a long time and others which I feel are crap and lasted just a few rounds. I have gone to fulll cord grips on all clubs and do not use a glove a present but if I did, it would be the Nike. I had the best luck there before I went glove-less

For leather gloves, the Ben Hogan Apex ( made of kangaroo leather ) used to be a very nice glove, thin and last a long long time 3 gloves for 2 seasons ( approx. 30 rounds for each glove ).

I agree; I have cord grips, and my FJ Sci-flex gloves last me a month or more with combined play and practice.
