I got a chance to use my friends r5 draw driver with a tour stiff shaft and i fell in love. The only other driver i've used is the one that came with the Wilson ultra set and the shaft is a pretty flexable reg. I used my driver for the first tee shot and hit 2 poor drives. the used his for the rest of the round and didn't lose a ball. hit the ball straight or had a slight draw on all my other drives. It was great. I hit the ball as far too, about 250 yards. I'd like to try a stiff shaft b/c i don't think my swing speed is high enough for a TS shaft.

Do you guys think a stiff shaft would give me more distance with the same accuracy?

I think you should buy your friends driver. Really. Different head/shaft combos work differently. That exact shaft in another head may not work as well or feel as good. Even another R5 with the same shaft may not feel "the same". The R5 is an old driver, so he's gotta be ready to upgrade anyway.

Tour stiff isn't a flex i'm pretty sure. If you were hitting it good why would you want to change it though? Dont worry about what you should be hitting, just hit what you hit good. I should have a stiff, I'm well into the stiff ranges, i just hit a regular better so i play regular woods.
