Anyone still using a 983K driver from Titleist? I play a R5 TP and had thoughts of putting the 983K back in my bag. I looking at the new Burner TPs to possibly purchase but saw my 983K in the garage and it still looks nice and I remember the solid feel it always gave me.

I have bought a couple of drivers over the last few years looking for something better, but I always end up back with my 983E. I have yet to find anything that I can hit better or more consistent. Too bad they don't make them anymore.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

People who own them still swear by them. I did get to hit one from a friend and it did feel a lot more solid than today's drivers. Makes me wanna buy one but they are no longer available. I found one still spanking brand new but the shop selling it had the ridiculous idea that its still worth $450!

I have an old 975J-VS that I bought a couple years ago for $50. It has 8.5* of loft and a stiff shaft, can't hit it for crap but its good to have. Maybe if I get stronger I'll swing fast enough...

I have a 983k driver by Titleist and I like it a lot. I am happy knowing it is in my bag and do not see myself getting a new one until it is absolutely necessary. When I do get a new driver, it will probably be something like the 983k.

I'm with you there. Wouldn't trade my 983E for anything. I have the 983K as well which I like but not quite as much as my E. In fact, I think I'm going to buy myself a backup 983E in case my current one goes belly up.

Too bad they don't make them anymore.

Have a look on eBay. Plenty of 983Es and Ks on there...

I have played for several years and never have had anyone to show me anything so I have quit playing a couple different times in my life. I started playing again back in the summer and was as bad as ever. I did not have a up to date driver then my brother gave me his old 983K (9.5 reg flex) and after a friend taught me how to swing and how to modify my grip and another friend finally taught me to not try to kill the ball. I can consistently hit my 983K around 220 to 240 straight most of the time. One friend has a 905R and a 907 D2(he is a lefty) and said that I should look into one of those. My 983K has a Titleist shaft and I was thinking about getting the reg flex V2 shaft installed and just stay with the 983K. ANyway I really like mine. Sorry for the long post.
