The fact that TourCast works on the Mac in only the oldest browser is inexcusable. Flat out inexcusable.

A bit of a rant on that here . Frickin' ridiculous. As a web developer myself, I know there's very little excuse (i.e. "none") for this. It's ridiculous.

The folks who coded up the TourCast stuff are either:
a) lazy
b) dumb
c) all of the above
d) a, b, and c above

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

P.S. Works fine in IE. A tad slow, given that it's IE and it was never very fast. Firefox on the Mac, Safari on the Mac, OmniWeb - all play flash files very quickly. IE, eh, "it works" but it's not the most enjoyable experience.

Quick update: I skipped the browser sniffing and went right to the source. I grabbed the URLs for every one of the TourCasts and made them my home page in Firefox. Clicking the link directly takes me to the appropriate page.

I'll eventually set it up so that it presents the current tournament and then previous tournaments below that, in reverse order. About ten minutes of PHP work.

I could post it to the Web if anyone was interested. Lets you avoid having to hit pgatour.com/tourcast and then choose the tournament from the popup menu.

I'm glad you understand all of that cause you lost me. I'm a grade "A+" surfer and an "F-" techie. If you mean that you'll create a link that brings me strait to the fantasy league then I'd appreciate it.

Nothing to do with the Fantasy League. For that, I

use this link . Bookmark it if you wish. I spent the five minutes (took ten, but that's cuz I had to look up all the dates). Here it is: http://thesandtrap.com/tourcast.golf Go there, and within one click you're on the TourCast page for the tournament. It's ugly right now (if people use it I'll pretty it up) but it loads fast. I put the link to the ESPN stuff at the top of the page.

    • Ahh the 'gap wood'. Allegedly more control than a traditional driver and more distance than a 3-wood. While it sounds logical on paper, the more I think about it, the more I am confounded by the existence of this tool. Bit skeptical that most us weekenders that are not better than maybe a 2- handicap can effectively land in this 'uncharted' thin gap between a 3 wood and a driver with any sort of reasonable consistency. For me the venn diagram of these two traditional clubs from a control perspectives is almost a single circle given the wide (and diffused) yardage and direction spreads.  @ChetlovesMer, name her "Minnie" and maybe will hunt you some good will..😝. Kidding aside, I am interested on how it works out for you. Not too proud to be singing a different song if convinced. Have fun!
