It seems like everyone I know that plays a cobra, hits it very far for their SS, people have told me if I switch I'll gain numerous yards, and these aren't just kids on the team, I've heard pros say cobras go farther.
If they do I'd like to look into one, like the l4v and l5v. Has anyone switched and noticed distance changes?

You are playing one of the better drivers out there already in the Titleist D2. Perhaps the D1 would have been a better choice for you but the Cobra would make no appreciable difference in distance for you.

I also play a D2 however a friend of mine who is very long hitter (around 320) tried several drivers at a pro shop along with his Cobra and he was cositantly longer with his Cobra. The new Cleveland XLS showed a tighter group. Don't know if he tried a D2 or not. I do know he tried a G10, the XLS Cleveland and the new Burner along with a new Cobra. He said his Cobra that he currently has was the longest. Of course he is use to his own club.

It depends on who you talk to and what you choose to believe. Try one for yourself and you decide.

I can say that a lot of the guys that compete in the LDA do in fact use Cobra drivers.

How would the d1 be a better choice, with my handicap? i can definitely work the ball, I just want more distance. Idk i'm gonna go to golf galaxy but the second poster confirmed what I have heard about people getting more distance with them. They sound amazing too. Thanks

Yeah sorry to double post but i just saw your post. The final 4 at the long drive championships all had cobras. 5 of the final 8 did too.

    • Day 5: did a stack session. Did some slow swings between sets, working on hands down.
    • So, I might have to get out of the C-Taper golf shaft. I have an older Mizuno with a KBS Tour shaft in. I was messing around with closing my eyes and feeling where the weight of the club is being felt at. The C-Taper was all in my fingers. I didn't feel much of anything of the club head or shaft of the club. It felt super heavy in my hands. The KBS Tour I could feel a weight further away from my hands, out in space.  The Mizuno weights 2 grams more, but is about 2-3 swing weights lighter than my current irons.  So, yea. I am thinking I might sense the club better with maybe a less stout golf shaft and maybe a lighter swing weight. Probably more to do with the golf shaft. I am thinking the feeling of the weight out in space is more of the shaft loading more easily.
    • Day 25 (2 Apr 26) - Worked on green side chips at the course before helping with the school golf tournament today.  Worked on low flighted spinners to get solid hop and stops.
    • Day 227 4-2 Chest and hip turn with flow drill. Trying to get a rhythm to the hip movement/less segmented feeling.
    • A bit back at it tonight. I just wanted to add in the feel of a softer left arm through out the backswing. This helps me hinge the club. I make sure I am not bending it a ton, but not straightening it. It helps feel like I can keep the club in front of me more and lift the club up sooner.
