Well I have decided to get a training aid this off season to work on my game, I like the momentus weighted driver, meducs dual hinge driver, or the perfect putting machine. I have heard many horor stories about the Medicus but I used it for about 10 minutes in my proshop and I really liked it, so far it seems to be the fron runner. I was also thinking of getting a swing speed rader machine. Any experiances with these items?

c'mon, no replies?

i just received (yesterday) the medicus driver and powermaximus weighted driver with power meter, along with the medicus 5 and 7 irons, powermaximus weighted 7 iron and lob wedge. the medicus lob wedge will be here in a few days.

i havent used any of them yet. i will post my opinions later this week, but, i wanted to comment on the weighted clubs. they seem to be weighted more in the shaft than in the club head. i was just curious if this was normal.

the one thing EVERYONE should have is a weighted club, preferably an iron such as the momentus. Other than that, putting aids are at the top of my list. Where do you score? the putting green. You can even make some of your own. The string drill... two pencils and 5' of string. place two shafts on the green and putt between them, keeping them 1/4" or so from each side of the putter head... i mean, why spend hundreds of dollars when you can make your own that are cheap, get the job done, and are VERY trustworthy. That's my 2 cents.

If you want more ideas, I have a plenty of drills that I teach... just ask.

Oh, and weighted clubs should be for warm-up purposes primarily... don't expect them to "put your swing on plane every time, or cure that slice"... they are good for primarily warm-ups, and you can find them for $30 or so at a sporting goods store... you don't need the name brand, just something heavy.

In the Bag (right now)...

The thing I really liked about the Medicus Driver is you can hit balls with it, even with the 460cc head.

It took me a few swings as I had some obvious flaws in my golf swing I had no idea were there. Once I got the hang of hitting balls with the Medicus Driver (after about 20 minutes), my swing was no less than amazing! I suddenly realized before the Medicus Driver I had been rushing my take away, now I'm giving my golf swing the time to develop into a powerful and repeatable swing! Even my 13 year old daughter was hitting balls with the Medicus Driver in no time and she's a beginner golfer!

I bought the momentus about 2 weeks ago, i try (if it doesn´t rain) to swing the club 30 times a day. Can´t say yet wether it will improve my swing or not, but i feel it should give us some consistency when swinging a normal club. And yes, there is plenty of weight at the shaft.

In my bag:
Cleveland DST Tour 9.5 Diamana
Callaway Diablo Tour 15º

Callaway Razr 5 wood
TaylorMade Tour Preferred 3-PW
Callaway Forged 56º, Titleist Vokey 58º

I have both the Medicus Driver and the shortened Medicus weighted iron (to swing indoors).

I bought the Medicus driver to improve swing speed at first.. i haven't measure my SS as of late, however I have to attest that it definitely has improved my swing endurance and strength so that there is little to no fatigue in my swing at the end of a round or at the end of practice at the range... we'll have to measure my SS to see whether that's improved (feels like it has, but who knows)

The shortened Medicus weighted iron was purchased so that I could work on preventing casting and improve the flattenning of my left wrist at impact... helps a lot with warming up and swinging indoors since it's shortened.. plus i got it at Target for like 20 bucks haha..

just my 2 cents.
