Do you guys think they made the right choice? I thought Paddy should have won PotY over Tiger, and am happy for him that he did. Thoughts?

It's like the Heisman in that you could easily argue for or against both Tiger and Padraig. Two majors is hard to argue with, although Paddy didn't play well outside those events.

Good for Padraig. Although he really didn't play super in any tournament besides the 2 majors.

POtY - good as anybody. He was pretty fun to watch. The episode of Playing Lessons which featured him is my favorite.

Paddy deserves player of the year.
IMO much more than Bradford deserved the Heisman. Glad I like golf more than college football. College football at it's core is fundamentally unsound at the moment. It is a popularity contest and more $ driven than any other sport I can think of. They make a bazillion dollars off of slave labor {semi-amateur (insert wink icon here) athletes}

Tiger voted for Paddy as player of the year according to his interview with Bob Costos on TV. Two majors vs one major is huge............Go Paddy in 09!

Paddy definitely deserved it. He won two Major Championships and successfully defened his title in the Open Championship. What more can you ask from the guy. In addition, he hit one of the greatest shots in Major Championship history with his second shot on the 71st hole that won this year's Open Championship for him. He has the "complete package" and proved it.
