I've never hit any of their clubs, but they look very nice. I've only used their balls, and only the Soft Feels. I didn't really like them a whole lot, but I got them for nothing, so I didn't really care.

I'm like a 13 handicap and use the I-506s which are suppose to less forgiving than the i-701s. So maybe try the i-506 or the i-701 tours. But it depends Rocco Mediate used standard x-20s at the us open. Srixon are sending me the new prototype ball sometime in January to test so I will probably review. Never hit the driver as they are not made left handed. The wedges are great. They're forged and produce quite a bit of spin. I see that your in Canada also, so you can order srixon clubs through golf town as they don't sell them in store. That's what I did with my irons and wedges.

PS. anthonykim3 do you play on a cpga junior tour ?? Or future links or something?

Dude your playing Mizuno irons and your thinking about switching? try the new MP52's or the game improvement set that they have just released, sorry though I can't say that I've tried Srixon and am not knocking them, just that in my opinion Mizuno or Titleist both make a great forged iron that feel like butter in your hands when you hit them solid and have a great look either in the bag or at address.

let the rumor die! his irons are 100% nike.

srixon makes very nice, high quality equipment and their forged irons are just as good and buttery feeling as mizunos or titleist's offerings.

I have never tried their clubs, but their Z-URC/S balls are great - right there with ProV1s and B330s, IMO. The Trispeeds aren't bad either.

Srixon makes some of the best irons in the industry.  IMO, they rival any of the other forged irons.  As much as I love my Mizunos, Id gladly put a set of Srixon blades in my bag.

Ive never tried any of their woods or drivers, but Ive read some reviews on their new Z-Star driver and everyone is giving it rave reviews.

As for their golf balls, IMO they are as good as anyone in the industry.  The Z-Star is a little hard for my liking, but I love the AD333 (for me its a tossup between the Precept Laddie-X and the AD333 for what my fav budget ball is) and Ive been very pleased with the Soft Feel and TriSpeed.

Lately Ive been considering giving a Srixon glove a shot as well.  Even their, "cheap" glove, the Hi-Brid, looks to be a decent glove.

All in all, I think Srixon makes great stuff and I wouldnt hesitate to give anything from them a shot.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

Rizzle, good to see another Tiger on the board. My old stomping grounds as well. Will always consider Walker my home course

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
