So my question is should i replace the hybrid i use now or get one to take the space of a 5 wood to try to help me out on par 5's? I must tell you i am on my high school golf team and none of our par 5's are very long in length and i am more of a get outta there with bogey when it comes to par 5's so what do you think will help me more?

You didn't say what FW woods you have hit, or had trouble with. You might try a 4 wood (about 17* loft). A couple of years ago, Golf Digest had an article on fairway woods, which said that 4W was much easier for most golfers to hit than a 3W.

A 4W likely would give you more distance than a hybrid. Just something to consider.

I'll throw a wrench in the works.....How about a 4 wood?  My old set up was driver, 4w, 3h, 4h.  It worked fairly well.  Having the fairway wood is a good option for tight holes off the tee.

Right now my set up is Driver, 3w, 3h(19 deg.) That replaced my 5w. 4h(22 deg.)  Its working pretty well right now.

Like was mentioned, you could also go with a 2h.

Personally, I think the 4 wood is a great option.  The only reason I am not playing one right now is because I couldn't find one that I liked.  I'm a lefty and selection is quite limited.  I will tell you this...my 3h is a lot more versatile than my 5 wood ever was.
