I'd imagine the actual touring pros get to keep their goods. Whether they do or not is the real question. I like to save old clubs so I would, but maybe some don't need the "clutter". Or maybe they donate the goods to buddies, charities...

I thought his question because if you didn't like them, wouldn't you just call up TM or titleist? Like the pro at mine was a callaway pro, but then macgregor came and he liked their stuff better, so he switched.

I mhave had the FT-3 in my bag for 3 years now and still have not had anything to knock it out of it.BUT I do like the look of the FT-9 and I E mailed Cally and they told me 2/16/09 it will be out and it will be available in lefthanded right away.It took me 6 months to get my FT-3 in lefty{4/4--10/8} but it seems like cally is doing better with the lefty stuff.

well honestly, the pros at my club have contracts with cobra, taylormade titelist and (i think) mizuno... And the head pro is the one with a mizuno contract... Those bettinardi putters are sick....
Just a question: I bought my mizzy's ++used for one month++ from the head pro at my club. They were his personal irons that he actually used. he moved on to the 67's. Why is it that you are not allowed allowed to sell your clubs but he is?

Yeah, guys do that. But, I'm lucky to be with Callaway. Like I mentioned earlier, they offer everything I need, balls, to clubs. Not only that, but my Callaway rep is a member at my club, and, we've become pretty good friends. I'd hate to just pack up and switch.

Got a 9.5* FT-9 with a Grafalloy ProLaunch 65 Stiff shaft

I love the look of the old x-forged but they didnt feel as good to me as the mp57's. Have you played the x-protos? Those are some nice looking irons and I have heard great things about them.

if you wanted to, would you be allowed to order the x-protos for yourself?

Winter and Rocket. I've only seen the XProto in person, but wasn't allowed to hit them. My rep said, NO! hahaha. I could order them for myself but I would still have to pay a handy price. Granted not retail, but still too much to justify. If I did have cheap access to the XProto I'd probably mix up a set with the XForged. 4-7 XForged, 8-PW XProto. That would be pretty bitchin!

I've only seen one set of XProtos in play. A fellow named James Oh who I saw on the range a few times at GoldenState Tour events. He actually just qualified to play the '09 PGA Tour. I'd imagine Callaway gave him a new set. His were pretty beat.
