Gary Player won't make the cut, but he'll beat Raymond Floyd at arm wrestling!

Last year's "announced" purse was $7,000,000 - surely it will be $7,500,000 in 2006, but it could be higher - say $8,000,000.

So how many guys do you think will finish under par? 90 guys in the field.
I was thinking about taking the bet that no more than 15 would be under par...but I don't know.
So far here are my bets, I know these guys are long shots especially with thier length...and the possibilty of rain on saturday could soften the course up..but I liked the spread if they should pull it off.

Hey stupid question....those things that they have at the Masters under the greens to suck the water out of if it rains...could they use those even in dry conditions to make the greens faster? Or would it not make much of a difference? In case some of you don't know about it they are big huge machines that can pull water out really fast....saw it on TGC last year.

Master's week - gotta love. My fiance will come in and look at me like I hit rock bottom. She just does not understand the sport and the obsession that goes along with it.

So before reading this, i was reading ESPN.com and the rankings that they have on the site.

So...the logical choice is Tiger. Lets face it, he is just better then everybody else. Also with the Master's being so important to him and his dad, he may have extra motivation to win it al being that this may very well be his father's last chance to see his son win.

"Lefty" - Wow did he destroy the field at the Bell in his tune-up. Will he win? probably not but come Sunday, I will shocked if he is not in the hunt.

Sergio - man if Sergio could only play 4 days in a row he would be a force. he will be at the top on Thursday and Friday. He will not be in the top 10 come Sunday.

Goosen - Could it be? is it Reteif's turn? Nah, not this year. he will be in the top 10.

So who wins the Master's? Tiger finishes second and has to put the Green jacket on the guy who beats him in a play off in 2006...........Chris DiMarco.

I'm not happy about Tournament Central not being up for this tournament at PGATour.Com. I guess Hootie laid the law down on his tournament or something.

I have been addicted to Tournament Central since I found it a few weeks back.

Yeah, team Thrash Talk is looking oh so good so far. Duval shot an 85, CH3 is well on his way to an 80-something. Double ouch!

At least Goosen and Toms are going along steady so far for me.

Eric, have you checked out http://www.masters.org/en_US/ They have a cool interactive of Amen corner and footage of 11,12 &13. You can watch it live. Tiger is playing them right now.

I wasn't watching because it wasn't working on my computer. It buffered and then sat there without displaying any actual video. The problem is that the Masters site uses ass-crappy Windows Media as its method of whatever (Bill Gates is a member... coincidence?) and Flip4Mac (which plays WMP content via QuickTime) apparently doesn't like this streaming deal.

But since you asked, I put some effort into it and hacked around it and got it to play in Windows Media Player.

I have only been following The PGA faithfully for over a year. I do know that Duval use to be one of the top players in the world. What happend to him, did he have an injury for a while....poor ole feller.

Now its +19. Jeez he's tied with Charles Coody. Coody is 68 years old for the love of god. He won the Masters in 1971. Poor David I was rooting for him this year but it looks like he is still battling the same demons that have plagued him for the last several years.

Yeah, when I saw Coody shot 74 today I predicted that Duval would lose to Coody. Looks like it's coming true.

Edit: I just watched Charles Howell III hit out of a bunker on the 11th green (I think) about four or five times!!!!! Duval may have some competition! ****ing Chucky Three Sticks!
