i'm looking to upgrade to a TP version from my R7 irons. Does anyone know if an r9 set is coming out this year ?

That's the driver and woods. If irons are coming out usually there's leaked photos or rumors-especially with Taylormade. The new Tour Preferreds (TPs) are the R7 TP replacement.

I can only pray they don't try to add MWT to an iron. If that happens, I'm pretty sure I will go nuts.


There is a new Burner iron coming out, but thats the closest thing i can think of to a replacement for the R7 currently.

As I said above knowing taylormade they will probably expand on their pointless technology. I mean they even have the MWT thing in a putter!!! The only thing worse would be a wedge. I wonder how that would even look....

Knowing Taylormade it will probably happen.

Hah yeah I was thinking about a wedge too. With MWT Technology you can now shape your wedges 3-4 yards of fade or draw bias. Hah that would be so dumb.


I tried the current Tour Burner at my local golf shop and I liked them a lot. For the price point you really can't go wrong.
