Working on my swing this winter has led me to stay behind the ball more than ever. 2 things have resulted:

1. Much better ball striking.

2. A much lower ball flight.

Love the ball striking, not used to the low ball flight. I used to come in very steep with all my clubs and had no problem getting the ball in the air. When I wasn't on, I hit it VERY fat.

My swing improvements have led to a mucher lower ball flight. Any recommendations on a ball meant to fix this?

I hate not being able to cut a corner, or bounce off of a green because I came in too hot.

I believe any ball with a higher spin rate will help with your flighting issue. You may want to get away from the Pro-V1x and give the Pro-V1 a try. I'm in the exact opposite scenario and am looking to give the V1x a try. Hope this helps!

Well, obviously the Pro V1x is a low trajectory ball, so you could try the Pro V1 or one of the other premium balls with a softer core (such as Bridgestone B330S or B330 RX, which has a much softer core, but is designed for 85-105 MPH swing speeds). Trial and error is going to be the thing to do. Just pick up some 3 packs of different balls and see how they repsond. That's a cheap(er) way to test them.

the golf galaxy in my area does ball fittings for 12 bucks... you get to smack around a bunch of primo balls into the simulator and see which one you like the best

It sounds like you might want to try the Bridgestone e5+ or Srixon AD333 for size.

For cheaper balls (what I prefer) this recommendation is spot on (apologize for the cheesy Faldoism). I used to drive the ball so low (low hook) that I would hit 3 wood off the tee every time. When I switched to the e5+ and AD333, it fixed my ball flight almost immediately. This coincidentally, was at the same time I made vast improvements in my swing tempo and swing plane.

Other higher cheap balls include the TopFlit Gamer.

Id suggest the Bridgestone E5+. Its designed to give higher ballflight.

Another vote for the Bridgestone E5+. It does as claimed. Very nice ball that sells for between $25-$30 per dozen.

An additional higher trajectory ball that I feel rivals the E5+ in so many ways is the Noodle Long and Soft ball. They sell for $15-$19 per dozen. Please don't let the price fool you....these balls are awesome.

I've been a low-to-mid trajectory hitter for the last fifteen years....these balls have me actually looking up to find my ball during the follow-through.

I found a couple of those on the course last year. I found them to be kinda clicky and didnt seem like they compressed at all.

For something in the $20 range, Id go with Precept Laddie-X, Distance IQ 180 or Titleist DT Carry over the Noodle.

I really appreciate all of the recommendations. It seems as though the Bridgestone e5 is the consensus. I will give them a try. They are certainly cheaper than what I've been playing.

Thanks all

Another vote from me for the E5+.

I've played it quite a lot. Good value, great cover (high spin, urethane) and it's definitely one if you want a slightly higher flight.

I'm not the most informed on balls, but certain ones are menat for higher or lower ss?

The E5+ and Ladie X feel decent. Soft with fairly high spin.

Some of the cheaper distance balls claim to be meant for people with slower swingspeeds.

In the case of Bridgestone, the different E series balls are meant more for different ballflight (high, low or reduced sidespin). Titleist does the same thing with their DT series balls (DT Carry for higher ballflight and more carry, DT Roll for lower ballflight and more roll), but I dont think Titleist makes a DT ball that claims to reduce sidespin for straighter shots.

Wanted to try some different options for my daughter last fall and she was trying the Bridgestone e6+ vs. Callaway HX Hot (trying to keep her away from my Pro V1xs). I tried them, also. I didn't care for the feel of the Bridgestone, but did find the feel of the Callaway to be good, was good on approach shots and putts, and enjoyed a couple of full rounds played with them. I'm going to try some of the new HX Hot balls this Spring, if we ever have Spring. Also experimented with some Titleist NXTs, liked the Callaways much more.
