Yes, I'm am already talking about the playoffs. As for who I think will win, I've got to give it to the Celts again. After seeing them put up 74 in the first half against Dallas you've gotta feel good about them. They've got to have the most depth in the NBA. Even Scal's starting to heat up! (Okay, maybe I'm getting a little of out hand)

Who are you guys picking to win?

Even Scal's starting to heat up!

When he's not getting jacked in the jaw by Dirk. Haha

Celtics all the way. They looked awesome today! I don't know if Ray Allen got his triple double, but he had to come close. For a club that was built on D last year, I was very excited to see them rack up the points in the 1st half today.

Ive got the Jazz over the Cavs in six games... D Williams will be the finals MVP

The funny thing is that the foul was called on Scal lol.

Reading through this thread I was starting to wonder where the "Celtic's Love" was ... glad to see that at least the OP has his head on straigh in this thread ... rest of you guys I am not so sure about ...

I know that the Lakers beat the Celts on Christmas Day, but they can't keep up with them in a 7-game series. I think that the Finals will be a repeat of last year in both teams and result.

hahahaha, Yeah yeah yeah.

If I were to see the Celts get beat, it'd better be against a Western Conference team. Please do not let the Cavs beat the Celts. If there's one player in the NBA that I can't stand, it's Lebron James. I'd much rather see them lose to the Lakers or the Spurs since I like Kobe, and Tim Duncan.

Yeah, the Celts have waaay too much depth off the bench.

Orlando will win. I have Orlando over L.A. in 6 games. Orlando has four really good players in Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu, Jameer Nelson, and Dwight Howard. Lewis can shoot threes with the best of them. Hedo is a matchup nightmare and essentially another point gaurd with a 6'10" build. Jameer Nelson is shooting the lights out. Howard is a beast. He rebounds, blocks shots, and controls the paint. Throw in Pietrus, Lee, and all their other role players and you've got a really good team.

L.A. only has 3 stars. Kobe, Gasol, and Bynum + Odom. Bynum and Odom are not stars in themselves, but are pretty good nonetheless. I want to see Kobe win, but I don't think they can this year.

The Celts have a really good bench, but everyone wants to beat them this year.

The Cavs are the most overrated team in the league.

The Spurs are really good and have the best PF of all time in Duncan, but can they compete with the Lakers?

Unfortunately, I don't see my team (the Nuggets) competing for a title this year. There's always next year.

All right, well the Celts have KG who's the big emotional leader. Also he can shoot pretty well for a big guy, and has had much more experience than Dwight Howard.

Paul Peirce could very well be in the top-3 of the greatest Celtics basketball players of all time. He always steps up big day-in, day-out.

Ray Allen is still one of the premier shooters in the NBA, no questions asked.

Rajon Rondo is the most underrated player in the league. Without him the Celtics wouldn't have won the championship last year. I can't believe both he, and Ray Allen got nubbed and didn't go to the All-Star game.

Kendrick Perkins isn't amazing, but he's got the size (strength-wise) to match up with Howard.

Eddie House is the best shooter in the NBA.

Leon Powe never stops hustling which is great to see in a ballplayer.

Big Baby Davis is a house, yet he's got some good shooting in him.

And then there are players like Scal, Gabe Pruitt, Tony Allen, Bill Walker, etc. that are good players coming off the bench.

Now I'm definitely not saying that the Celtics would crush the Magic. No way, no how. And I think that Dwight Howard's probably the best player right now (either him or Kobe), it's just that I think the Celtics have too much experience/strength/role players.

Oh and I was also very thankful for the Magic to beat " King " James last night.

How can you say you hate lebron?! The man really is going to be a legend, you cant deny that. His work ethic got him to where he is, and he really is a very modest guy...so what is it that you dont like?!

Just because he's good doesn't mean you have to like him. You know how many comparisons he's drawn that are completely ridiculous. Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant just to name a few. Magic could handle the ball 10x better than LeBron can. He could pass the ball 100x better than LeBron can. Plus, Johnson created way more mismatch problems. Michael Jordan was the second best scorer ever. LeBron isn't even the second best scorer now. Jordan also had a decent midrange jumper and played defense. Like real defense. On ball defense.

LeBron is the most overrated player in the NBA...by far (it's not his fault though). Everyone says how his jumper improved from last year. It improved by .1%. I actually figured out the statistic. He shoots 34.2% on jumpers this year. He shot 34.1% last year. Guys with similar and better percentages include: Rondo (34%), Yi (36.3%), Dahtay Jones (33.9%), and Josh Smith (32%). None of those guys are good shooters according to sports analysts, so why is LeBron? He is also an overrated passer and dribbler. He cannot dribble like a PG. Watch a couple games and this is obvious. He's a good passer and makes solid passes, but he's not as good as everyone likes to think. He's not a modest guy at all. Have you heard any of his interviews. All of that hype and talk gets to a guy that young. He wants to be the center of attention and in the spotlight all of the time. Why do you think there is so much talk of him going to NY? It's the biggest market in the world and he wants the spotlight. LeBron also owns a crazy house (but so does every other athlete). I have no problem with rich guys buying nice stuff, but at a certain point it becomes conspicuous consumption. That's really bad and helped to cause some of the economic mess right now. Oh and remember in the playoffs when he got killed by the Spurs. He didn't do crap in that series. If he were any other player (Nash, Dirk N., Kobe, Wade, etc.), everyone would say how badly he choked. But no. LeBron just had a bad series. He's not treated like any other player, even though many are better and more important to their teams.

    • I don't think anyone will really care.   It's your call.  Just be consistent.
    • I agree, until we are watching the 18th hole in the dark or waiting for the champion to finish and it's been 5+ hours
    • Question for the group. The course I normally play at has 27 holes - 3 9s that they use to for 18 in the various combinations. Is it okay to declare* if I’m playing front or back when I play 9 on this course? I’m figuring I need to declare before I play a shot. *meaning just say to myself that this is the back 9. Curious what people think. Of course, my only holes left are 13 and 17, so I’m going to declare the back 9 for the rest of the year. Probably only one or two more rounds though.
    • This is my opinion as well. I would love to see the LPGA take the lead on this.    This.
    • I agree in general. The one way in which the viewer will notice the pace of play is just that "it's been an hour and Nelly Korda or Scottie Scheffler have only played four holes." Or if for some reason they show a lot of shots of players just standing around when they could be showing golf shots. But I think Andy Johnson said it most recently/best, playing fast is a skill, too. I would love for pro golfers to play faster. You'd see the players you want to see hit more shots in the same time than they do now. So I don't disagree with the pace of play stuff, and hope they can find ways to do it. Heck, the LPGA should leap at the chance to differentiate itself in this way, IMO. So: I stand by what I said in that the TV viewer really doesn't notice much about pace of play. It's rare when they do. I support increasing the pace of play wholeheartedly. But my top five reasons don't include TV ratings or viewership.
