I was at a store here on the weekend, Golf Town (Canadian version of Golf Galaxy) as they have their annual grip and shaft sale and realized that I might need a larger grip on my club. I have heard all over the place that your fingers should just touch the palm on your hand when on the club. I currently have standard grips on my clubs and my fingers easily touch my palm; with a large grip they still touch but barely.

My question is, does it really make that big of a difference? Will it really affect my game to move up a size or get them built up?

If you find yourself missing left, I'd say make the change, but if you're not having issues, I'm not sure I'd mess with what's working.

You could always regrip one or two clubs and see what comes of it.

What does missing left have to do anything with the grip? ('Cuse my ignorance)

Im not completely sure about this but a small grip makes you turn the club over too much and a large grip supposedly helps this.

Yep. I've heard this before including on the Lamkin website a quote from Arnold Palmer:

"The correct grip size allows you to set the club properly at the top of the backswing. If the grip is too small, it may result in too much hand action and cause the club face to close prematurely. Likewise is true for a grip that is too big. It may cause the club head to open up at impact." http://www.lamkingrips.com/which-grip_tips.php I've never experienced these problems. However, I did play grips that were too small which led to me to squeeze tightly, resulting in a slice.
