Does anybody use that drill where you hold a glove, or another object inside your arm while you swing so you keep your backside elbow tighter to your body?

I tried it at the range yesterday and it worked pretty well for my short irons. I just couldn't use it and take a full backswing. The longer irons it wouldn't work for though.

In my stand Bag:

R7 Superquad 10.5* Fujikura REAX 65-S
Hi-Bore XLS 19* Hybrid Dynamic Gold S300
MP-60 4 thru PW Dynamic Gold S300 .588 REG 54* SW Vokey 58* LWSTX Greeny IV putter

I (almost = maybe for a full beginner) never hear about that (right arm) drill HowEver usually I try to have "something" under my left arm to stay connected... and trying to do 3/4 swings. Or even full shots but then "something" fails off in last part of the swing.

The usual drill is a glove under the left (lead) arm. It must stay there until well after impact. Vijay uses it sometimes. It's supposed to let you know if your upper left arm separates from your body. That separation is a bad thing, especially if you are using the body powered swing that most pros use, and that is taught in the Master Key swing instruction.
However, I learned the Master Key instruction before trying this drill, so I cannot really say if it is an effective learning tool. When I tried it, the glove never fell out early.
