In other news... I am excited to say my first child should be here in September... hopefully a boy, but anything healthy will be fine.

Congrats Man!! I hope everything goes well. There is nothing like that first child. Just remember mama is going to need a lot of attention!!

Fine. But how does one get from Tiger ( a super high octane butt kicking macho name) to Charlie?

Whatever he goes by he's gonna be looooaded. What is gonna inspire this kid? Who knows....he may not develop an interest in golf.

It would be cool as heck, though, if he became a great amatuer golfer. He'd certainly have the financial backing to do so. That is what I'm hoping to see in my lifetime....an amatuer that comes in and dominates the game.

C'mon now, you do realize Tiger's real name is "Eldrick." Not exactly superhero-esque if you ask me...

Yeah. But then, he walked into a courthouse, probably slammed a piece of paper on somebodies desk (stained with blood and sinew, no doubt) and legally

changed it.

The only references to this on the web cite Peter Kostis as the source, so color me doubtful.

problem is... good golfers almost always turn pro now because the $$$ is so substantial, even children born into wealthy families can't resist the money pros make. While it would be cool, I doubt we'll ever see an amatuer that rules the game the way Jones did.
