How much is your golf set worth?

I was reading through a thread where are poster said to another poster that their set was expensive.
How expensive has it been to build up your bag?
This is golf clubs only, including modifications made to them.
It would be interesting to see if it varies by different handicaps.
Please calculate by the price that you paid, not rrp.

My set of clubs I currently play cost me about $1400. However, I just picked up the Mizuno MP-60 irons (used) for $220 and just order a Odyssey 2-Ball XG (used) for $100. The Cobra S9 irons I've been playing the past few years were $600 new, so I'm cutting my 'bag value' by about $400 with new irons, but the Scotty putter I got for only $40, so that's $60 extra for putter. I guess that puts me down around $1150 or there abouts.

Counting all of the clubs I've bought in the past 7 years (that's when I got back into game seriously after not playing for 10+ years) I have probably spent more than $3000. That includes 4 sets of irons (2 used), 7 drivers, 9 woods (5-3Woods; 2-5woods; 1-7wood; 1-9wood), 8 hybrids, 9 wedges and 6 putters. I purchases about 1/2 of these used and have resold most peices so total costs haven't been as bad as they could have been. I've always been looking for the right mix for me.

My set as currently constitued would probably cost about $800-900 total. Thank god for ebay. If purchased retail the set would probably be in the 2-3k range. My favorite purchase was my 2 hybrid for 11 dollars.

Hybrids - FREE and new b/c I won a bet
Irons - $750 new...would have gone used but I'm no damn tall!

So $1120. But I won or recieved some clubs for free. They still didn't cost me anything though!

Wedges- Vokey with all the trades was probboly almost 150, the Mizzy $18
Putter- Dont even have one right now.

So actually a bit.. But the thing i am most proud of is the Matrix F7M2 for 75 bucks :D
