I purchased a set of TT tx90 shaft pulls on ebay. The set had 12 shaft pulls. If they are not marked, how do I figured out which shaft does into which club?

The shafts are listed as the following lengths. I generally play my clubs 1/2" longer then stock. I assume that given the fact that there are 12 shafts they are 2-LW. The seller stated they were standard length clubs. I will be putting these into a set that is 4-pw and two additional wedges. What are the ill effects of taking the 3 iron shaft and placing it into my 4 iron, it will give me the extra 1/2" that I am looking for, but what are the side effects? It should be noted that my swing speed with a 6 iron is 83-88MPH which puts me right inbetween a regular and a stiff shaft. The shafts i purchased are stiffs.

38 3/4 ", 37 3/4 ", 37 1/4", 36 3/4", 36 1/4", 35 3/4"

35 1/4 ", 34 7/8 ", 34 1/2", 33 1/4", 33 1/8", 33"

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

doing some research, if I want the clubs to play a half inch longer, it would be soft stepping the clubs. This might not be a problem because these are stiff shafts and my swing speed is ideal to a regular shaft. However the high ball flight might just get higher, and would be too high.

Thoughts?

From what I've heard soft stepping once will soften the flex by about 1/3 of a flex, perhaps so little that you wouldn't notice. You can also get shaft extensions that go into the butt for a couple of bucks a club if you want to get the extra length without softstepping.

edit: if you regularly play R flex maybe you want to softstep twice and cut them 1/2 inch.

according to my golf instructor my swing speed puts me at the upper range of the R flex, so going with a soft stepped Stiff flex might help. My only concern is if I am using a soft stepped stiff flex with a high launch like the TX90 will my ball flight be too high?

If you put the 3i shaft into the 4i that is called "soft stepping". It will soften the flex of the shaft by approximately a 1/3 to a 1/4 of a flex and give you a higher ball flight.

    • Ah.. my regular weekend league. Lol Scrambles are fine. Usually there's charity involved. So there's that. There are much worse events Im forced to attend twice a year.
    • Does Justin Thomas have a massively underrated short game? It seems every time I look up he's hitting it close from a tough lie after short siding himself. What masterful touch
    • I freaking hate them. Too expensive, cheaters, food sucks, too dependent on weather, I keep telling myself never do it again but I'm a dummy
    • I enjoyed the A-B-C-D scramble we did at Kittyhawk before it shut down. Yes. The point was to meet the other members and get the season kicked off. Nobody took it too seriously. At least with that group, cheating wasn't a big issue.  As the D part of A-B-C-D, I enjoyed getting to play with one of the Association's top players. One year I played with the city champ. Man could he hit a ball.  It probably isn't something I'd want to do more than once a year, but it has its place.
