Played the first round of the season this past weekend. I've been hitting the range in the off-season so my iron play was fair with the exception of a few chunky shots, but I hit most greens.

The flat stick however, was just no where to be found .. I was shaking like a leaf even on little 3 footers and blowing it by the hole. I ruined my round by three even four putting on numerous holes!

How do I get out of this fast!?

Hit the practice green. Pick 4 stations around the hole and putt 3-4 footers until your confident with those putts. Then practice 20-25 footers for speed. This should help a little without seeing if you have the proper stroke.

+1, i agree. i was recently struggling with my putter big time. i had 8, yes 8, 3 putts in one round and that was the final straw. i then spent the next 2 days on the putting green (around 10 hours) and practiced practiced practiced. it helped. the next round i played i was so much more comfortable, and best off all: no 3 putts and none since

Chipping and putting is the first thing to go, and the last thing to come back after a long break. Don't worry too much about it. Just play, and get on the putting green for a bit to get some feel back.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee
