Im waiting for the Titleist road show to come to my local course so I can get fitted, but since I play the R7 425, I'm looking forward to trying the smaller D3.

I hit the D2 and really liked it, but would like to hear what you guys think about the two? I did see the review on this site and it was helpful, but would like to hear from other who are already playing these drivers.

Why did you pick one over the other?

If your Handicap is about an 8 you could handle the 3.
I'd still maybe go with the 2 though.. Theres nothing wrong with a bit of game improvement.

i wouldn't necessarily base you decision on this. They are both players drivers that are not as forgiving as most. The d3 launches lower than the d2, so i would get whichever suits your swing better, demo both.

I just ordered a D2 early this week. I got it with a 43.5" shaft, so it had to be special ordered.

Im not typically a high ball launcher, but Im coming from a club that was too long and had a stiff shaft with a 9.5'. New one will be 10.5'....My swing is only about 90 mph, so the pro recommended regular shaft.

Of the 3, I personally hit the D2 the best. Im excited to get it in a week or so. I cannot wait!!! I really love the way it sets up and looks to my eyes. My SasQuatch always "looked" like it was closed at address and I seemed to hook it alot.

Driver: D2 - 10.5° - Fujikura Rombax 5X07
5 Wood: R9 - 19°
Irons: Taylor Made CB

To be clear, the D3 isn't smaller than the r7 425 - just smaller than the other 909s.

As someone else said, your handicap's irrelevant. It's your launch conditions that matter.

I think the main thing is to try all of them and decide what you like best. Getting custom fit definately helps also. I personally like the D2 better than the D3. But the lower launch conditions of the D3 may suit your game better.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it! Do you think the Titleist DEMO road show will have a launch monitor? I love the R7 425, best driver I've hit, but I really want to get a Titleist driver this year.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it!

i have a r7 425m and i agree its a great driver, but the closed face and high launch are killing me. I am going to the titleist tour van this weekend, because its stopping by my local golferswarehouse. I plan on getting fit for a new driver, its most likely going to be the d2.

Where in Boston is the demo day?

This is easy...hit 'em both

Small correction made, in bold, but yes.
