I have reached a new milestone in my game...

I actually wore out my first ball and had to retire it.
Normally I loose the ball long before it is worn out, I must be improving!

That's a much better feeling than pulling out the brand new ball and losing it on 1 swing!

I once played 72 straight holes with the same balata before retiring it to the shag bag. Those were the days! Not only did I not lose it, I didn't hit a tree or cart path or slap a big smile on it. 72 straight holes of good swings.....will it ever happen again??

Congrats, I love when people recognize milestones like this, it shows a real appreciation for the game.

Congrats!!! It seems like it has been a while since I have done that. I agree that it is much better than hitting that brand new ball into the woods!! I have been using old balls since it has been winter and I am wondering how it will go once I break out the "good" balls....

I experienced the same last year, but that was on an easy course. I was even more delighted when I only lost 3 balls on a difficult 18-hole course.

I walked 36 holes the other day, played 17 holes with the same ball then drove it into the drink on 18. On the 2nd 18 holes the EXACT same thing happened.

driver: FT-i tlcg 9.5˚ (Matrix Ozik XCONN Stiff)
4 wood: G10 (ProLaunch Red FW stiff)
3 -PW: :Titleist: 695 mb (Rifle flighted 6.0)
wedges:, 52˚, 56˚, 60˚
putter: Studio Select Newport 1.5

It is nice to be rid of the 30 yard slice, that really helps keep the ball in play!
