I had to travel to Amarillo for work this week. I knew I would be getting there a day early so I brought my clubs thinking I might find a course to play. Well, I did... checked weather, said it would be 78. Man I was excited... Got to Amarillo yesterday around 11 and OMG!!! There was litterally 30-35 mph winds!! I was so upset, but decided to play anyway...

The wind was awesome, and a nightmare at the same time. I drove this one hole 330 yards, about 20 yards from the green. It took me almost 10 minutes to find my ball because I have never in my life hit a ball anywhere near that far. But then, there was a par 3 that I hit my driver off off because of the wind in my face so hard!!!

Anyway, shot a 47 on the front, 44 on the back... yup if you do the math, thats a 91.

Birdied 16, pared 17.... all I needed was a par on 18 to get my first 89... well I doubled it because I drove off into the trees and had to punch out..

Ohh well, Im still grining ear to ear because I played SOOOO much better. I dont know what it was, but I was like a totally different golfer out there from just 2 days ago when I shot a 96 (a handful of 94s were my previous bests).
I cant help but think what I would have shot if no wind...
