  1. 1. Can you take the giggles and stares?

    • YES! I'll do anything for lower scores.

    • No... I don't care about it that much.

After recently playing with someone who was testing a belly putter, my friend could not contain the jokes. Our friend is really struggling with his putting, and my other friend raggin' on him didn't help him, but I guess he just shrugged it off.

So, would you do something weird, take the giggles, just to improve your score?

I would NEVER go to a belly putter...that would not help my putting in my opinion...if i am gonna fix it i will use one of those things that you lay on the green and it is like the perfect stroke. and i woulda punched ur friend int he gut lol

I'd use a belly putter if I thought I needed to. There are a lot of professionals who have used them and make lots of money and there is no shame in using a club that helps you enjoy the game more. I'd laugh with the people laughing at me and laugh at them when it was appropriate too . Right now, I'm happy with what I've got so I'll keep using my short putter to get the job done.

I know better than to say the word "never," but if "nevver" is a variant of "never" to mean all that I'm implying here (i.e. as close to "never" as possible without actually being "never"), suffice to say I will nevver use a belly putter.

If I get the hand shakes like my father in my 70s I probably try a long or belly putter, short of that no way.
I have seen and even tried a lot of strange practice drills and aids, a few of which have actually helped. Not as bad as the shrink in Tin Cup though.
