and, if you watch the little animation with the silhouettes in the opening, and pause it, youll see that it takes them away in the order they were eliminated, and shows Derek as the last one left. Kinda telltale if you ask me.

Is this show over yet? i cannot watch it because Brenda has a terrible accent.

Isnt' that funny. My husband loves her accent. But then again, our families are both from Ireland, so there you have it. One man's trash is another man's treasure ;)

getting through a few weeks is lucky, getting to the final 3 takes skill, and brenda has lots of skill. She just had a bad day :shrug

I think Brenda has talent and she's usually a great scrambler, so I was surprised she didn't bounce back after the first bad tee shot. I

asked her about that day and why she kept coming up short so many times and it really all came down to nerves. Blair and Derek managed their nerves beautifully, so next week will be interesting to watch - will it be a test of skill or will?

Ah, but this is golf ;)

Remember last year, Canadian Mike Weir (underdog) beat American Tiger Woods (#1 in world) at the Presidents Cup. Next week it could be American Blair O'Neal (underdog) beats Canadian Derek Gillespie (top dog). You just never know... But it will be fun watching and finally finding out!

Cheers... That was kind of getting on my nerves last night. Why couldn't Brenda just say thanks or thank you. Must be an Irish thing... She certainly was unique.

Brenda seemed especially bit**y last night. Complaining about how long Blair was taking, saying she was as interesting as cardboard...I haven't cared for Brenda since early on and think she was lucky a few times to stay on. Glad she's gone.
Derek is clearly the better player and the only way he loses next week is if he boneheads a shot into the woods or something and gives Blair the victory. Blair is solid, but not better. By the way...as a fashion model, I think Blair should be dressed better on the course. She always looks kind of weird.

You kind of answered your own comment in the first part of your sentence. Typically those in the fashion world wear "trendy" things that the majority of the population looks at as "weird".

Ha, as if I'm some fashionista. I don't think my cargo pants and polo are trendy.

Brenda was irritating last night. Perhaps she would have played better if she hadn't been hating on Blair the entire time. My thought during the show was "I wonder if they film all the confessionals after the elimination..... Brenda sounds like a sore loser..... I bet she lost." She was lucky to make it as far as she did. Glad to see her go.

I suppose you're right. She is very pretty and always looks good in the interviews, just wish she wore mor flattering clothes on the course. Not like she should be sporting mini-skirts and low cut tops (though I wouldn't complain) but I think she would look smoking in just a regular outfit. Can't stand the "flood" pants.

Kindred Souls.

I'll have to do an internet search on her and find some good swimsuit pics or something to get these latest images out of my head.

Tread carefully.

I'll just say this: You'll run across a picture of her when she was a hired model at a Playboy party. Two words: body paint.

HAHAHA! I had to search it really quick. Thanks for the heads up. Had to get a little more specific in the search to find the Playboy pics.

Nice Maxim layout she had too. I feel better now. Maybe I'll print one and hold it up to the screen whenever they do a close up on her playing next week.

    • Never practiced golf when I was young and the only lesson ever taken was a driver lesson. I feel like I'm improving every year. However, the numbers don't support my feeling about improving. I usually drop to 12-13 during the summer while playing the familiar courses around home and then go on golf trips in the fall to new courses and increase to end the year between 15-17. Been a similar story for a number of years now but hey, it's the best thing there is in life so not too bothered but reaching 9.9 is the objective every year. Maybe a few lessons and practice could help me achieve it since I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing, just playing and never practice.
    • I am semi-loyal. Usually buy four dozen of one ball and only play that until out and then determine whether to continue or try another one. Since starting my semi-loyal path to success, I've been playing the below, not in order: ProV1 ProV1x ProV1x left dash AVX Bridgestone BXS Srixon Z-star XV I am not sure if it has helped anything, but it gives a bit of confidence knowing that it at least is not the ball (while using the same one) that gives different results so one thing less to mind about I guess. On the level that I am, not sure whether it makes much difference but will continue since I have to play something so might as well go with the same ball for a number of rounds. Edit: favorite is probably the BXS followed by ProV1/Srixon Z-star XV. Haven't got any numbers to back it up but just by feel.
    • Will not do it by myself, going to the pro shop I usually use after Cristmas for input and actually doing the changes, if any, but wanted to get some thoughts on whether this was worthwhile out of curiosity.
    • In terms of ball striking, not really. Ball striking being how good you are at hitting the center of the clubface with the swing path you want and the loft you want to present at impact.  In terms of getting better launch conditions for the current swing you have, it is debatable.  It depends on how you swing and what your current launch conditions are at. These are fine tuning mechanisms not significant changes. They might not even be the correct fine tuning you need. I would go spend the $100 to $150 dollars in getting a club fitting over potentially wasting money on changes that ChatGPT gave you.  New grips are important. Yes, it can affect swing weight, but it is personal preference. Swing weight is just one component.  Overall weight effects the feel. The type of golf shaft effects the feel of the club in the swing. Swing weight effects the feel. You can add so much extra weight to get the swing weight correct and it will feel completely different because the total weight went up. Imagine swinging a 5lb stick versus a 15lb stick. They could be balanced the same (swing weight), but one will take substantially more effort to move.  I would almost say swing weight is an old school way of fitting clubs. Now, with launch monitors, you could just fit the golfer. You could have two golfers with the same swing speed that want completely different swing weight. It is just personal preference. You can only tell that by swinging a golf club.
    • Thanks for the comments. I fully understand that these changes won't make any big difference compared to getting a flawless swing but looking to give myself the best chance of success at where I am and hopefully lessons will improve the swing along the way. Can these changes make minor improvements to ball striking and misses then that's fine. From what I understood about changing the grips, which is to avoid them slipping in warm and humid conditions, is that it will affect the swing weight since midsize are heavier than regular and so therefore adding weight to the club head would be required to avoid a change of feel in the club compared to before?
