haven't been there in several years, but they sold full sets of irons, and sold everything else as separates -- drivers, woods, wedges, bags, putters.

Used is as used is, as they say. I tend to buy all sorts of premium stuff used, golf stuff included. I bought a set of Titleist irons there over 10 years ago, and they're still in my bag, doing just fine. I also bought a pair of dryjoys there, used, in my size of course, for 10 bucks. they're awesome.

prices overall were very good.

I didn't know they were still in business. There were a few near me that have long ago closed.

My bets purchase from there was a Ping lob wedge for $7. I played it for about 5 years, then sold it for $40! My friend bought a groovy Greg Brady style golf bag from there, it was far out in a happening kind of way.

Not too many options here for used sporting/golf goods, it's boiled down to Craigslist and Ebay. Thrift stores are nice, but sometimes you feel like you need a tetanus shot when you leave.

what clubs should i be looking for when i go? i will probablly have around 200$ and I'm going to try to put together my set w/ that. Will that be enough,(they are used, so they will be at a discounted price)? Thanks!

I used to shop at PAS back in the late '90s, but all of the stores around here closed a few years back.
You could usually score used stuff for pretty cheap. It was never the best clubs in the world, but it was decent stuff.

You never know what you'll find. Most people selling quality stuff, know what they have and sell it separately, but every now and then you'll find something good in there. For the most part it's starter sets and older/beat up individual clubs.

I still stop in every now and then.......I just know that one day I'm gonna find a Scotty Cameron in the bin for $15!

In David's bag....

PAS is fantastic!!

had a set of R7 irons 3-AW in there for 150 the other day.

Find a ton of wedges and putters mostly, but sometimes find a good driver or wood in there as well.

They also commonly mismark stuff, lacrosse stuff and golf stuff, found stuff like 10 dollar vokeys, 20 dollar torques, shafts, everything for great prices.

I found a great Odyssey Rossie putter there years back for $20. Haven't had any around here for years but saw one a few weeks ago in ohio and didn't see anything good in there. It just depends on how lucky you are.

    • Day 6: lighter session today after a long day. Just some mirror work and slow swings to try to get my feels down.
    • @Philip Belgium,  If I haven't already, Welcome to TST.  Your injury sounds serious and I hope you fully recover.   Thanks for sharing your story.  ..... each day get 1-2% better.   (A ray of sunshine and a positive outlook)
    • Day 91 (1  Aug 25) - Pre-tournament practice round today…had some great up and downs for par saves.  Rain came in this evening so it will be a totally different playing course tomorrow.
    • Jesus, when he keeps saying scissoring moment, ugh that is a horrible sounding phrase. Just makes me cringe. It doesn't help my mind went to Mr. Garrison from South Park. 🤣 If you know you know.  I think for the most part, golf shaft companies have gotten this figured out. They ask questions like, what tempo do you swing at. The whole scissor terminology sounds like they want to stand out a bit.  Yea, golfers load the golf shaft differently, and different bend profiles can help out. I do think swing speed matters as well. You probably want a golf shaft with lower torque if you swing faster.
    • Played 9 holes, shot a 39.  Kind of got around. Everything between the trees, so in play. Short game was rusty. Got to get back on that. Greens were stupidly slow because they got a lot of rain yesterday and probably couldn't cut them down. Usually in the summer they are firm and pretty fast for how sloped they are. Got to work on face to path a bit.
