I am looking to play a round of golf the weekend after memorial day in Cincinnati. Anybody have any suggestions?

$50 or less with a cart. I don't need to play the best, just looking for a nice course to play while I have some downtime.

THanks

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

Blueash Golf course. Tight and nice. 30 greens fee. I walk
Vineyard golf course, tight, 34 greens fee.
Elks run 59 with a cart. Also have twilight for less. This is the one I would play.

I play the first two often and they are well maintained and challenging. Elks run is a pretty cool tough course.

Shaker Run is high but very nice.

Legendary run is nice. Great fairways, tees, greens are a little bumpy. Cut short and because of play seem to be not as true as the first two.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think the three courses we were considering were

1. Kings Island-"The Grizzly" 2. Hickory Woods 3. Sharron Woods I believe we are staying in the Loveland area. How do the courses you suggested compare to the courses I have listed? Would you recommend to play or stay away from any of these three? I am checking with the people that are hosting us to confirm it's Loveland, and if so, does that change your suggestion? again, thanks for the advice.

Try Cedar Trace. Shaggy around the edges with greens that are hard to putt.
About 35 miles east of Cincy.

Second vote for the Vineyard, very challenging, but very nice and priced good to. When I was younger I played Winton Woods a few times and then it was nice, same park district as the Vineyard so it should be good also

Thank you everybody for the suggestions. I am pretty sure we are probably going to end up playing Sharon Woods. It sounds like a nice course and is close to where we are staying (Loveland)

Just got back from my weekend in Cincy and its a very nice city. We ended up playing Sharon Woods. For $40 with a cart (we decided to ride after a night of drinking and a 6:47AM tee time) I shot a 99 with alot of problems around the green. Its a great course and very much target golf. On several holes I was just off the edge of the fairway and found myself with nasty up/down hill lies. I enjoyed the course, and will be playing it again on my next visit.

    • Day 51 (yesterday was 50, not 59 -- that was a typo).  I didn't have a ton of time today.  I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron in my practice room.   Amazingly, after this I did the ShotScope analysis of yesterday's round;  my approach play was at the 5 hcp level.  That's pretty darn good, but unfortunately for my score, some of that came from hitting a few good recovery shots.  But I also hit some really good approach shots that weren't from trouble!

    • Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.
    • I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
