Rickie Fowler. He's from Murrieta, CA. I lived in Temecula the city right next to it. Seems cool enough of a guy although who really knows

Of years past

Bobby Jones, grew up watching his old golf instruction shows on TV. They were played on the golf channel for a while, early morning on weekends. Just loved his story, and how much of a class act he was.

90's

Greg Norman, i love sharks, shark week was awesome, so as a kid i just put two and two together, how fun a kids brain works ;)

2000's

Anybody but Tiger and Sergio, but i like good stories, so Phil winning his first green jacket, Bubba winning his. I like Rory alot, his swing is just amazing, i wish he would get his head on straight. I like Rickie as well. So I'm rooting for the young guys. Mostly Rory now.

You must be kidding? Watching that guy not only play slow, but all the twitching, fiddling, club spinning, evil eye tilt head look. Drives me insane, I can't watch him, I just can't.

I would rather watch Jim Furyk adjust his pants with each wrist during his preshot routine.

Phil - without question.  Absolutely love watching Phil play.  When the bigger tournaments come around my first thought is "where's lefty?" when I look at the leaderboard.  His mastery of the short game is a thing a beauty.  He'd probably have 10 majors right now if he could putt like he did at this years Open consistently.  His putting has always killed him, along with his "go for it" mentality but lets face it - a couple of those majors he only won because he took some risks head on without fear.  Gotta love it.

Best Score 2017:  82 (Traditions at the Glen, Par 70)

Graeme McDowell. Needless to say I was not very happy last weekend

I really enjoying watching Adam Scott's full swings, I enjoy watching Tiger's all around game, and I like Phil's aggressiveness. Apparently these three might be paired up next weekend?? That's going to be amazing.

But yeah, McDowell just seems like a solid guy and when he gets on fire (rare) it's super fun to watch. He enjoys a good pint of Guinness too.

Lol, I do that ( the Jim furyk adjustment before every shot too.. I just think that he's really odd. He keeps it loose and keeps his body always moving, and I think that works..... yeah he plays a little slower, but I'll admit, I'm not a fast player, with a long pre shot routine.

Me, too. For that same reason. He seems like a cool guy, who just happens to be a great golfer, too. And I get a kick out of his pre-shot routines. I also really like Phil. It's really more of a tie between those two.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
